Brenda Snipes, the supervisor of elections for Broward County, Florida, reportedly submitted her resignation on Sunday after a tumultuous two-week recount effort following this month’s midterms. Snipes, 75, has overseen the region’s elections since she was appointed by former Gov. Jeb Bush (R) in 2003. Two races in Florida were too close to call: the bid for the state’s governorship and for Sen. Bill Nelson’s (D) seat in Congress.
CNN’s Jim Acosta is reporting at the White House again after a judge ruled that the Trump administration overstepped the law in revoking his access. You are a rude, terrible person,” Trump told Acosta. Lawyers for the administration argued, “The President and White House possess the same broad discretion to regulate access to the White House for journalists that they possess to select which journalists receive interviews.

Bennett was widely expected to announce his party's withdrawal from the coalition, which would have stripped Netanyahu of his parliamentary majority and triggered early polls.

McClure, 28, D’Amico, 39, and Bobbitt, 34, are facing charges of theft by deception.
The White House is once again threatening to pull a CNN journalist Jim Acosta's press credentials after a temporary court order stopping them doing so expires at the end of the month. In response, the news network has called for another an emergency court hearing claiming the Trump administration is continuing to breach the constitutional rights of the First Amendment - free speech - and the Fifth Amendment, the right to due process. On Friday, District Judge Timothy Kelly temporarily restored Acosta's credentials for 14 days, saying the White House had failed to provide due process in removing Mr Acosta's pass over "inappropriate" behaviour at a press conference where he clashed with Donald Trump .

For Americans, the timing of the Thanksgiving holiday — the fourth Thursday in November — can be a blessing or a curse. “The earliest Thanksgivings in the [American] colonies in the 17th century were called for the purpose of giving thanks for a specific blessing,” says Melanie Kirkpatrick, author of Thanksgiving: The Holiday at the Heart of the American Experience and Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute. Much-needed good weather or a victory in a skirmish with Native Americans — with whom, contrary to the more mythical Thanksgiving story, peace was the exception to the rule — might earn a mention from a colony’s governor, and a special day would be set aside, but when that day fell would obviously depend on what had happened.

Any other standard risks contributing to an already-toxic political environment that is leaving all too many voters paranoid and susceptible to believing unverified and inflammatory conspiracy theories. Applying this standard, it’s past time for Democrats to dial back their rhetoric about the Georgia gubernatorial election. It was reckless for Hillary Clinton to declare that “if [Stacey Abrams] had a fair election, she already would have won.” It was absurd for both Cory Booker and Sherrod Brown to say the election was “stolen.” Indeed, this claim is rapidly becoming conventional wisdom in parts of the Left.
These Democrats are now trying to negotiate issues with Nancy Pelosi as the former house speaker looks for a second run. ABC News' Brad Mielke reports.
