A viral social media post claims Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden isn't the public servant he's made out to be. The meme, shared on Facebook, depicts an encounter between Joe Biden and a person wearing a helmet who is turned away from the camera. There's a speech bubble over Biden's head which reads “I don't work for you!” as Biden points at the person, insinuating he said that to the person.
Around 10,000 people in Bangladesh rallied in the South Asian nation's capital on Tuesday to protest France's president and his staunch support of secular laws that deem caricatures depicting the Prophet Muhammad as protected under freedom of speech. Protesters from the conservative Islami Andolon Bangladesh group, which supports the introduction of Islamic law in the Muslim-majority country, carried banners and placards reading: “All Muslims of the world, unite” and “Boycott France.” It was the largest protest yet against the cartoons in recent days.
Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's critics are perplexed by his concurring opinion following the court's 5-3 ruling that Wisconsin can only count absentee ballots that arrive by Election Day, describing his reasoning as "sloppy." One of the accusations hurled at Kavanaugh is that he confused receipt and submission deadlines while making his point. The Wisconsin case involved extending the former in light of U.S. Postal Service slowdowns, but Kavanaugh's analogies appeared more congruent with the latter.

On Sunday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of two people who had been hit by a car, according to a news release. Joe Biden plans to scrap what he calls the "dangerous failure" of President Donald Trump's maximum pressure policy on Iran should he win the U.S. election, but after years of confrontation his diplomacy-first approach to a historic Middle East foe could prove an unforgiving challenge. Vice president under President Barack Obama when Iran's 2015 nuclear deal with six powers was struck, Biden has pledged that if Tehran resumes compliance with the pact he will return to the agreement, which Trump quit in 2018, reimposing sanctions. With Iran's economy crippled, its ties with Washington have been at boiling point ever since, and an international consensus over Iran's nuclear work -- which the West suspected was aimed at creating a nuclear bomb -- has been in disarray.

The Rev Will Graham took to Twitter to deny he was involved in the bizarre incident and had not even been on the flight at the time. Now it has been reported that it was the Rev Danny Chalmers who was charged with disorderly conduct for the allegedly urinating on a passenger on a flight from Las Vegas Detroit, according to the Religion News Service.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has joined a growing fury in parts of the Muslim world, demanding a boycott on French goods. It's over images being displayed in France of the Prophet Mohammad, which some Muslims consider blasphemous. Erdogan, who has a history of fraught relations with Macron, said France was pursuing an anti-Islam agenda.
A research team made a worrisome discovery off the Siberian coast, The Guardian reports. The scientists say they believe they are first to uncover observational evidence that frozen methane deposits in the Arctic Ocean have started to be released after determining that methane levels at the ocean's surface were four to eight times higher than expected. The deposits are considered "sleeping giants of the carbon cycle" and could theoretically expedite climate change, given that methane has a warming effect 80 times stronger than carbon dioxide over a 20 year period, The Guardian notes.
Azerbaijan and Armenia accused each other of killing civilians by shelling cities in and around Nagorno-Karabakh on Wednesday, in an escalation of a month-long conflict over the mountain enclave that has defied three ceasefires. Azerbaijan said 21 people were killed when Armenian shells hit the town of Barda, northeast of Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenian-backed officials in Nagorno-Karabakh said Azeri shells had fallen on the enclave's two largest cities, killing one person.
The wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is using her Facebook page to amplify unsubstantiated claims of corruption by Joe Biden. Ginni Thomas, a longtime conservative activist, asked her more than 10,000 followers Monday to consider sharing a link focused on alleged corruption by the Democratic nominee for president and his son, Hunter, as well as claims that social media companies are censoring reports about the Bidens. Other spouses of justices also have their own professional identities, but Thomas is the only one whose work involves partisan politics that sometimes butts up against her husband's job.
In a study of more 4,000 people from the U.S., U.K. and Sweden, researchers found that having more than five symptoms during the first week of coronavirus illness was associated with what they call “Long-COVID. And of the thousands of participants, those who experienced symptoms for more than 28 days — what the researchers deemed a long infection — were “consistently older, more female and were more likely to require hospital assessment” than those who reported symptoms for less than 10 days. The study has yet to be peer reviewed.

SpaceX did not respond to a request for comment.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan threatened Wednesday to launch a new military operation in northern Syria if Kurdish militants are not cleared from areas along its border with Syria. In an address to his ruling party's legislators in parliament, the Turkish leader also said a Russian airstrike that targeted Turkey-backed Syrian rebels in Idlib earlier this week was an indication that Moscow was not looking for a lasting peace in the region. “If all of the terrorists aren't removed ... as it has been promised to us, I repeat once again that we have a legitimate reason to intervene at any moment we feel the need to,” Erdogan said.

Bingham wrote that the Vaccine Taskforce recognised that "many, and possibly all, of these vaccines could fail", adding the focus has been on jabs that are expected to elicit immune responses in those over 65. Environment Minister George Eustice said on Wednesday that a vaccine would be the answer to the COVID-19 crisis, but that Bingham's analysis was "probably right." Bingham also cautioned that the global manufacturing capacity for vaccines was vastly inadequate for the billions of doses that were needed, and that Britain's manufacturing capability to date had been "equally scarce".
In an appearance on Fox News on Tuesday morning, McEnany was introduced as “Trump 2020 senior adviser and White House press secretary. A few hours later, Fox Business Network host Stuart Varney introduced McEnany by saying she is “serving now as adviser for the Trump campaign. McEnany's dual roles for the White House and the Trump reelection campaign immediately set off alarm bells among good-government advocates, who said they represent yet another instance of the often blurry lines between the Trump administration and the president's political operation.
At his third rally of the day, Donald Trump immediately pounced on a Fox News interview with Biden family accuser Tony Bobulinski. Bobulinski told host Tukcer Carlson moments earlier that he met Joe Biden twice to discuss the family's business dealings in China, calling the Democratic candidate a 'blatant liar' for denying any connection to Hunter Biden's international network. Trump used the interview as the key kick-off message to his rally in Nebraska, which followed an earlier rally in Wisconsin where the president focused his attacks on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders.
MILWAUKEE – Kyle Rittenhouse's lawyers expect to call his mother and four experts to testify at a hearing Friday on Wisconsin's efforts to extradite him to face homicide charges in Kenosha. Deadly fighting between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces over the separatist region of Nagorno-Karabakh showed no signs of abating Wednesday despite a U.S.-brokered cease-fire that took force just two days ago and has so far failed to halt the flare-up of a decades-old conflict. Nagorno-Karabakh officials said Azerbaijani forces hit Stepanakert, the region's capital, and the nearby town of Shushi with Smerch long-range multiple rocket systems, a devastating Soviet-designed weapon intended to ravage wide areas with explosives and cluster munitions. The government-run Armenian Unified Infocenter also reported that Azerbaijani forces targeted a maternity hospital in Stepanakert.
Recent polling indicates he is struggling in his Nov. 3 race for re-election in New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District against Democratic challenger Amy Kennedy, a former schoolteacher who married into the storied American political family. Nonpartisan political analysts say the contest is a toss-up. In a bad omen for Van Drew, Trump - to whom the congressman pledged "undying support" in an Oval Office appearance last year - is also running behind Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden in Van Drew's district, which stretches across southern New Jersey and includes Atlantic City.

“Many are longtime Republicans wrestling with what they see as a choice between two lousy candidates.”
“Some undecideds turn out to be people who’ve long felt alienated from the two big political parties.”
“They’re not following the 24-hour news cycle. The election and politics are just not a high priority.”
“One common trait: at this stage of the game, the undecided voter doesn’t fit into an easy political profile.”
“More realistically...these voters may not be motivated to vote at all in the 2020 election.”
