In this press release, he calls it “the very definition of 'voter suppression'” for a poll, by Franklin & Marshall College, to claim Hillary Clinton was ahead by eleven points among likely voters in surveys taken from October 26–30, 2016. He frankly calls this “liberal bias. Yet, Lee notes, Franklin & Marshall and its lead pollster are still taken seriously by the media and cited as nonpartisan experts.
The Supreme Court sided with Republicans in Wisconsin on Monday, ruling 5-3 along ideological lines that Wisconsin can count only those absentee ballots that arrive by Election Day — even if they were mailed days earlier. Since first-class mail has been taking an average of 10 days to be delivered in the state, Wisconsin's Democratic Party urged mail-in Democrats to hand-deliver their absentee ballots or vote in person. The practical issue involves what happens with Wisconsin's 700,000 outstanding absentee ballots.

An internal memo sent to staffers on Monday said the network would be paring down staff for election-night operations after multiple positive cases, The Daily Beast reported.
Iran's foreign minister used his speech for the 75th anniversary of the United Nations to accuse the United States of initiating or joining eight wars since 200 that displaced 37 million people and resulted in the loss of hundreds of thousands of innocent lives and “unprecedented extremism. If Joe Biden wins the White House this November, the Democratic presidential candidate's aides have privately hinted he plans to build the most diverse Cabinet in American history. Mr Biden is fond of saying the government should "look like the country" it governs, and his team have suggested that several women and people of colour are in line for top posts under a Biden presidency. Given Mr Biden's age – he would be 78 by the time he took office – the Democrat is also under pressure to ensure a younger generation of rising political talent features in his government picks.

Immigration has taken a back seat in the 2020 election. For starters, analysts say, the coronavirus pandemic and its economic fallout have dominated the discussion for months, while racial injustice and the Supreme Court have also emerged as major stories in the lead up to Nov. 3. Immigration was a driving factor for Trump in 2016 — with a particular emphasis on building a southern border wall — when it was the fourth most mentioned issue in his television campaign ads, but in 2020 it's barely cracked the top 10.

In the last week before Election Day, Donald Trump and his team have decided the best possible message on the coronavirus pandemic is the same one Trump wanted back in the spring. "I wanted to always play it down," Trump told Bob Woodward in a taped conversation on March 19. "I still like playing it down, because I don't want to create a panic." On Feb. 28, when the coronavirus had only just started to threaten the U.S., Trump gave a speech in South Carolina where he declared, "This is their new hoax," saying that "Democrats want us to fail so badly" that they were willing to exaggerate the threat of the virus in order to endanger his re-election.
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has taken a step toward revealing his Supreme Court plans. The last-minute nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court has raised allegations from Democrats that Republicans are unfairly gaming the system. It has also led some Democrats to suggest Biden either expand and pack the court with liberal justices if he's elected, or adopt term limits to replace the current lifetime appointments.
This "unambiguous detection of molecular water" will boost Nasa's hopes of establishing a lunar base. Unlike previous detections of water in permanently shadowed parts of lunar craters, scientists have now detected the molecule in sunlit regions of the Moon's surface. This would help them determine how accessible they would be for future lunar explorers to use.

Going abroad no longer increases the risk of getting Covid-19, the latest formal data reveals. Previous iterations of the long-term study to track Covid in the population had found that those who travelled abroad had higher positivity rates.
“Many are longtime Republicans wrestling with what they see as a choice between two lousy candidates.”
“Some undecideds turn out to be people who’ve long felt alienated from the two big political parties.”
“They’re not following the 24-hour news cycle. The election and politics are just not a high priority.”
“One common trait: at this stage of the game, the undecided voter doesn’t fit into an easy political profile.”
“More realistically...these voters may not be motivated to vote at all in the 2020 election.”
