Israeli forces said Saturday they uncovered another Hezbollah tunnel dug from Lebanon, an announcement that came shortly after troops fired at suspected members of the Lebanese militant group who approached the site of Israeli army engineering working to thwart tunnels. The find makes this at least the second cross-border tunnel discovered since Israel began an operation this week to detect and "neutralize" attack passageways dug by the Iranian-backed group into northern Israel.
According to a recent Consumer Reports survey, 60 percent of respondents gave holidaytips to one or more service providers last year. The average tip was $45 ― up $5 from the prior year ― and housekeepers received the highest gratuities. Wiese-Alexander said that when it comes to holiday tips, there are usually a couple of common concerns. One occurs when you have the cash available to be generous this holiday season, but you aren’t sure what tip amount is considered too little versus way too much.

Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, flouted White House protocol by having private, informal conversations with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman — both before and after the widely publicized killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, according to a Saturday report in The New York Times. President Trump has dismissed such evidence, however, suggesting last month that even if the prince did personally order the killing, the U.S. would still maintain a close relationship with its wealthy ally.

Policymakers in the United States have long believed that U.S. assistance to Taiwan, such as arms sales and an implicit promise to militarily assisting Taipei if China invades Taiwan, is critical to maintaining the peace and security across the Taiwan Strait. Such belief, however, has recently been challenged.
President Emmanuel Macron will address the nation on the "yellow vest" crisis on Monday and meet trade unionists and business leaders in search of a way to end the protests that have rocked France. The president will speak to the French people at 8:00 pm (7pm UK time), his Elysee office announced – his first public comments after four weeks of nationwide anti-government demonstrations which again turned violent on Saturday in Paris and other cities. The nation's first teachers' strike against a charter school operator will end after their union and management struck a tentative deal Sunday that includes protections for students and immigrant families living in the country illegally. The Chicago Teachers Union said more than 500 teachers will return to classes Monday at Acero's 15 schools with 7,500 predominantly Latino students. Robert Bloch, general counsel for the union, said that since the schools' enrollment is "overwhelmingly low-income Latino," the union felt it was necessary to have provisions to protect students, their families and teachers who may be living in the country illegally.
Apparently, being Kevin Hart means never having to say you’re sorry. Just weeks after vehemently defending the controversial “Cowboys and Indians”-themed birthday party he threw for his one-year-old son (on Thanksgiving Day, no less), the comedian is at the center of yet another controversy that he refused to apologize for. This homophobia was not reserved to his Twitter account.
Up to 25,000 people marched through Paris on Saturday urging greater action on climate change, despite fears that their protest would be scuppered by "yellow vest" demonstrations. The numbers were similar to previous climate marches in Paris, despite sporadic violence in the city on Saturday among thousands of "yellow vest" demonstrators who want more help for France's poor. Organisers had to change the route of the climate march, marching instead from Place de la Nation to Place de la Republique, due to the yellow vest demonstrations, but refused a request by Interior Minister Christophe Castaner to postpone it.

Thank you @realDonaldTrump, @VP, and my great colleagues for the honor to serve our Nation at The White House.

In an interview with CBS This Morning Saturday, the musician claimed the band's female frontrunner is largely to blame for his departure. "(He) called me up and he was basically screaming at me ... saying, 'You've really done it this time.' And I had no idea what he was talking about," Buckingham recalled.
Israeli soldiers at the Lebanese border opened fire at suspected Hezbollah activists on Saturday, the military said, the first such incident since Israel launched a crackdown on cross-border tunnels into its territory. Lebanon's state-run National News Agency, however, said the Israeli soldiers shot into the air when they saw a Lebanese army patrol near the border demarcation, known as the "Blue Line". Israel said the suspects approached an area on the Israeli side of the border where its forces were carrying out an operation to shut down tunnels that were dug across the border by Hezbollah.
Documents from the investigation into the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut are shedding light on the gunman's anger, scorn for other people, and deep social isolation in the years leading up to the shooting. The documents that a court ordered Connecticut State Police to release include several writings by Adam Lanza, who gunned down 20 children and six educators on Dec. 14, 2012.
