To the editor: Former national security advisor Michael Flynn's proposal to have America be "one nation under God and one religion under God" is dangerous, delusional, divisive and a distortion of history. "No, Michael Flynn, America doesn't need one religion," Opinion, Nov. 20) Besides, just what would that one religion be? Obviously, in Flynn's view, it would be neither Islam nor any of the myriad religions thought of as being "Eastern."

However, the meeting he was referring to was later postponed after the new variant led to travel restrictions that would have prevented many participants from reaching Geneva. "The news about this new variant should make clearer than ever why this pandemic will not end until we have global vaccinations," Biden said in a statement.
Before he died of COVID-19 in September, Nick Bledsoe was not shy about publicly sharing his opposition to masks and vaccines on Facebook. In April, Bledsoe, an auto mechanic from Opelika, Alabama, added a frame declaring “I don't care if you've had your vaccine” to his profile photo and urged his father not to get the shot.
