Feb. 19—Penske Logistics

Food Logistics magazine has named Steve Chambers, vice president of operations for Penske Logistics, as one of the winners of this year's Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award, which recognizes influential individuals in the industry whose achievements, hard work and vision have shaped the global cold food supply chain.

Since 2014, Chambers has made impacts to improve quality, efficiency and workforce at Penske Logistics. In his current role, he leads 11 distribution centers across the U.S., nine of which are food distribution centers. Through his leadership, Penske Logistics was recognized as a 2022 Top Food Chain Supplier by Food Chain Digest.

Penske Logistics provides "innovative food and beverage solutions with fresh, on-time delivery, every time."

Barley Snyder

Attorney Beth M. Kohl has joined the law firm of Barley Snyder, in its Reading office, working in Barley Snyder's Real Estate and Land Use practice groups. She brings more than 10 years of legal experience representing private and public clients in land use and zoning matters, municipal law, and real estate transactions.

Kohl previously worked in private legal practice, as a land development consultant, and in the real estate and right-of-way department of a midstream energy company. She currently serves as the chair of the Municipal/Education/Real Estate/Environmental Law section of the Berks County Bar Association. Kohl is also active in the Berks County community, serving on the board of directors for Berks Nature, The Friends of Reading Hospital, and the Pagoda Pacers Athletic Club.

A Berks County native, Kohl earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University and her law degree from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Reading Hospital

Michelle Trupp, chief operating officer (COO), of Reading Hospital has been appointed to the board of directors of the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP). She will serve a three-year term on the statewide membership services organization that advocates for the health and well-being of all Pennsylvanians citizens. HAP represents 235 hospitals as well as the patients and communities they serve.

Trupp's clinical and administrative career spans more than 40 years at Reading Hospital and Tower Health. In August 2022, she was named COO for Reading Hospital and senior vice president, Tower Health. Prior to that, Trupp was chief information officer for Tower Health.

As one of the 28-member board of healthcare leaders from across Pennsylvania, Trupp will be actively involved in setting the association's strategic direction and priorities to foster a robust hospital community and promote access to high-quality care across the commonwealth.

Manufacturers Resource Center

Wendy Beltzner has been named director of leadership development and training strategy for the Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC). In her new position, Beltzner will lead the center's training and education services in leadership development and customized training strategies.

Her role is training and coaching in business-critical interpersonal skills. She is also well known for conducting MRC's popular Supervisor Boot Camps to help every supervisor realize their leadership potential.

Beltzner worked as an adjunct instructor in the leadership and workforce development department at Lehigh Carbon Community College for 25 years, specializing in leadership and customer service training. She worked with companies from all industries represented throughout Northampton, Lehigh, and Carbon counties. She previously worked for Fortune 500 firms such as IBM and Manpower Inc., advancing her career from entry-level through various levels of management. Beltzner is also an entrepreneur. She created, owned, and operated the Lehigh Valley's first children's museum designed with an emphasis on soft skills education. She has also co-owned an award-winning, ice cream retail and wholesale business with her husband for more than 30 years.

Beltzner earned her B.S. degree in marketing from Oral Roberts University, her TWI Job Instruction Training Certification from the TWI Institute, and is a certified Everything DISC practitioner and a member of ATD (Association of Talent Development).

Saxton & Stump

Pauline Markey, a tax attorney with more than 15 years of experience at some of Philadelphia's largest law firms, has joined Saxton & Stump as an equity shareholder. She is a member of the firm's Business, Corporate and Tax Group working with clients on federal income tax matters, specifically working with compensations, pass-through entities and tax-exempt organizations.

Markey previously was a tax partner at Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel, where she was the co-chair of the firm's Diversity & Inclusion Committee and an editor of the firm's Legal Developers blog for the real estate and construction industry. She also is on the finance committee of the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corp., a nonprofit serving the Chinatown community in civic engagement and neighborhood planning and is a former member of the board of trustees for the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, which works to provide equal access to justice.

Markey earned both her law degree and her LL.M. in taxation from the University of Florida and earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University.
