Feb. 25—Olivet Boys and Girls Club

The Olivet Boys and Girls Club has announced the election of its new leadership team. Newly elected officers include Alneasa Jordan, board chairwoman and Jack R. Gombach, vice chairman/development. In addition, Gombach will also chair the search committee for a new CEO of the organization.

Also elected to leadership roles are: Roger Gray, secretary/treasurer; Todd Good, finance chairman; Bill Forward, governance chairman; Wynton Butler, program chairman; and Erin Woltjen, safety chairwoman.

The election of these officers marks a new chapter in the history of Olivet Boys and Girls Club, with each member of the team dedicated to the club's mission of enabling young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

The Olivet Boys and Girls Club is one of the original 50 organizations that banded together to form what became the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. It has served as a haven and a source of holistic programming for youth, particularly focusing on safety, inclusivity, and community collaboration.

RKL LLP

RKL LLP has named Bryan Redding as leader of the firm's Transaction Advisory Services Practice, which supports clients pursuing buy-side and sell-side middle-market merger and acquisition transactions.

Redding focuses on middle-market mergers and acquisition consulting, specializing in buy-side and sell-side due diligence, Quality of Earnings, and transaction execution. He combines his experience in financial modeling and due diligence with a client-forward approach.

Redding holds a B.S. in accounting with a finance concentration from the Pennsylvania State University. He is a board member of the John Paul II Center and a finance committee member of the Reading Hospital Foundation.

Montgomery Bar Association

Lisa A. Shearman, principal in the firm of Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin, has been elected president of the Montgomery Bar Association (MBA). She is the eighth woman president and the 139th president of the organization. In a recent speech to the membership, Shearman urged lawyers to commit to doing more pro bono work in 2024.

Shearman is chairwoman of the firm's Estates and Trusts Department. A Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, she has more than 30 years of experience advising and implementing simple to sophisticated estate plans for clients with a special focus on business continuity, succession, the reduction of estate taxes and preservation of wealth. Her practice also includes estate administration and post-mortem planning along with trust administration and the preparation of Inheritance Tax, Federal Estate and Gift Tax and Fiduciary Income Tax Returns. In addition, Shearman assists clients with the formation and operation of tax exempt organizations including private foundations.

Her commitment to the state and local bar associations and to the community runs extremely deep. In addition to serving as president of the MBA, she is a Zone 9 delegate in the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) and an active member of its Real Property, Probate and Tax Section. Among other awards, Shearman is the 2015 recipient of the PBA's President's Special Achievement Award and the 2014 recipient of Milton O. Moss Community Service Award, presented by the Montgomery Bar Foundation. A 1989 graduate of the University of Scranton, she received her law degree from Widener University in 1992 and her LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law in 1994.

Fulton Bank N.A., a subsidiary of Fulton Financial Corp. has hired Janice Stratton and Edward Mehalick as senior portfolio managers at Fulton Private Bank and Fulton Financial Advisors.

Stratton comes to Fulton from PNC Private Bank where she served most recently as investment market manager for Central Pennsylvania. Over a successful 20 year career at PNC, Stratton served in multiple roles including senior investment advisor. Stratton holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a graduate of Millersville University.

Mehalick also comes to Fulton from PNC Private Bank where he served as senior investment advisor on the Lancaster team. He is both a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Financial Planner. Mehalick is an honors graduate of the Pennsylvania State University.

Barley Snyder

Barley Snyder attorney John Quain has been named chairman-elect of the Dauphin County Bar Association's (DCBA) Young Lawyers section.

Quain's new role with the Young Lawyers Section comes after serving as secretary, treasurer and social committee chairman. As chairman-elect of the Young Lawyer's Section, Quain will also serve as an officer on the board of directors of the DCBA. This appointment reflects Quain's ongoing commitment to mentoring young lawyers and his dedication to serving those in his local community.

Quain is an attorney in Barley Snyder's Litigation and Creditors' Rights practice groups. His practice focuses on matters including breach of contract, real estate, and landlord tenant litigation. He also represents creditors in bankruptcy matters and helps clients including contractors, corporate landlords and leasing companies on collection efforts. In addition to his involvement with the DCBA, Quain serves as secretary of the board of directors for the Historic Harrisburg Association and frequently volunteers with the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center.

The DCBA is a professional organization with more than 1,450 lawyers involved in various programs of public service, professional development and personal interaction.
