Jul. 3—Barry Isett & Associates

Two long-time associates at Barry Isett & Associates have been promoted to department head positions within the company.

Adam Smith, PE, will lead the civil land development department. An Isett company shareholder with more than a 15 years of experience in civil engineering, Smith will oversee 18 associates and serve as a technical resource for projects as well as play a leading role in client management, staffing, department planning, and quality control and assurance.

He holds a degree in civil engineering from the University of Delaware and a Master of Business Administration from DeSales University. He is a contributor to the company's Employee Stock Ownership Program committee, 401K committee and a past member of the company's board of directors.

Company shareholder Kathryn Forry, MCP, BCO, has been named department head of Isett's code inspection & plan review team. Forry joined the firm in 2011 and will manage a team of more than 70 associates across eight offices. Prior to her promotion, she held the role of Wyoming Valley operations manager.

Forry holds a degree in architectural drafting from the Lincoln Technical Institute and is active in the Pennsylvania Association of Building Code Officials, PA Building Officials Conference, and the International Association of Electrical Inspectors.

Trout CPA

Andrew Rice, CPA, CVA has joined Trout CPA as managing director of transaction advisory services. Prior to joining Trout, Rice was a partner with a regional private equity firm.

In his new role, Rice will provide clients with a full range of M&A advisory services including pre-sale preparation, buy-side and sell-side due diligence, quality of earnings analysis and post-close integration.

Rice has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the Pennsylvania State University.

Tower Health

John Derderian DO, FHM, has been named senior vice president and associate chief medical officer (CMO) for Tower Health.

In his new role, Derderian will serve as a liaison between administration and medical staff, engaging physicians and advanced practice providers in initiatives to improve clinical quality, safety, and financial results. He will collaborate with the chief medical, nursing, and quality officers to ensure clinical processes align with the organizational goals for care quality and efficiency.

He will continue to serve as the physician leader for hospitalist services across Tower Health, providing direction and oversight to clinical programs related to inpatient care pathways.

Derderian earned his bachelor's degree in Biology from Ursinus College, attended Medical School at PCOM, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in 2003. He worked at Lancaster General Hospital and Lancaster Regional Medical Center before joining Tower Health in 2012. He served as the medical director for the observation unit before taking on the position of chief, division of hospitalist medicine, department of medicine at Reading Hospital, and vice president, inpatient medicine and transition of care services for Tower Health.

Barley Snyder

Kevin A. Moore has been appointed chairman of Barley Snyder's labor law team, which provides comprehensive solutions for employers who face unique legal issues as they operate within a heavily regulated and complicated legal landscape. In his role as chairman, Moore will provide strategic direction and a coordinated approach to managing these unique issues efficiently and proactively.

In addition to leading the Labor Law team, Moore practices in Barley Snyder's employment law and litigation practice groups. He is an approved EEOC trainer, federal court arbitrator, and guest lecturer at colleges and universities.

Moore, joined Barley Snyder at the beginning of 2022 along with 31 of his colleagues from the former law firm, Leisawitz Heller. He is the past chairman of the Berks County Bar Association employment law section and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Employment and Labor Committee.
