Christine Keithly, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, has been promoted to vice president for nursing administration & operations for Tower Health. In this role, Keithly will lead the integration of nursing strategic and financial planning across the system — including setting direction for a responsive nursing workforce plan as well as overseeing patient care systems and models, the nursing talent pipeline, recruitment and retention, and nursing leader development.

Her responsibilities include oversight for the Tower Health Transfer Center, centralized cardiac monitoring, and virtual patient observation as well as centralized staffing and scheduling for all Tower Health hospitals, Enterprise Tower Select Float Pool, Tower Select Agency, Workforce Labor Pool, and external agency labor and contract management.

She previously served as system director for nursing operations, where she led workforce optimization programs across the health system using predictive analytics to create nurse staffing models. Her work enabled nursing to reduce the need for reassignment and reduced total nursing labor expense. She also coordinated the system-wide nurse staffing response to meet the COVID-19 patient demand.

Keithly joined Tower Health in July 2019. Prior to that she managed the nursing network center at Penn Medicine. She is board certified as a nurse executive and received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Immaculata University in 2022. She obtained her Master of Science in nursing informatics from Walden University in 2019 and will receive her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree this year from Wilmington University.

Tri-County Chiropractic of Douglassville

Matthew Korea has joined Tri-County Chiropractic in Douglassville. He is a graduate of Northeast College of Health Sciences (formerly New York Chiropractic College).

Prior to graduate school, he attended The Pennsylvania State University at Berks. Korea holds certifications in the soft tissue techniques of NIMMO and ConnecTX. Additionally, he is certified in Whole Foods Nutrition and Advanced Stabilizing Custom Orthotics. When Korea is not in the office, he can usually be found at a sporting event or listening to live music. He also loves to travel.

Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania

To enhance and expand its Solutions Network The Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania has appointed Nicholas D. Yarnall associate manager for client development. Yarnall will continue to develop the external expertise of consultants and reviewers in the Solutions Network, and grow Ben Franklin's network of corporate partners. He will also support Ben Franklin clients with independent market and industry research to improve the Ben Franklin staff's and clients' abilities to anticipate and address trends.

Yarnall is the founder and CEO of Potestiam Inc., Doylestown, a B2B crowd management company. The firm, which employs four, uses existing commercial closed-circuit television cameras to track and advise clients on crowd flow in real time. He is also the owner and creative product specialist of a freelance 3D printing service, which custom models and manufactures prototypes for hobbyists, startups, and small businesses. He is a technical business consultant with the Small Business Development Center at Temple University in Philadelphia.

Previously, he was the assistant director of the 1810 Accelerator Startup Studio at Temple. Before that, he was a business development strategy analyst at E.3D, LLC, Holland, at which he led disaster and humanitarian relief initiatives and developed emergency 3D printing for disaster relief. He was also a financial representative at Western & Southern Life in Bala Cynwyd.

Yarnall earned a Masters of Engineering in technical entrepreneurship from Lehigh University and a BA in entrepreneurship and innovation management from Temple University.

JoeAnn Comunale has been promoted to Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania's portfolio group coordinator. She has served for three years as an administrative assistant at Ben Franklin. In this new role, she will provide support to the portfolio and operations groups. She will be responsible to schedule, attend, and record portfolio, company, and regional meetings, and will work with the team to gather and track information on prospective and current client companies. She will also support the implementation of Ben Franklin's new customer resource management system.

Goodwill Keystone Area

Andrew Gackenbach has been named chief production officer for Goodwill Keystone Area. In this role, Gackenbach is charged with driving forward Goodwill's retail and donated goods production operations. This includes overseeing 47 retail stores and donation centers across 22 central and southeastern Pennsylvania counties, ecommerce with shopgoodwill.com and warehouse logistics.

Gackenbach spent the previous 15 months as vice president of retail and business development at Goodwill of Southern Nevada after nearly 12 years at Goodwill Industries International. At Goodwill of Southern Nevada, he helped lead the retail team to a record year in 2021.

Gackenbach's first 10 years at Goodwill Industries International were spent launching Goodwill retail operations in South Korea, Brazil and Finland, and supporting existing Goodwills across the globe. He served as innovation and growth manager his final two years at Goodwill Industries International with a focus on identifying innovations that impact Goodwill's business model. He also coordinated sustainability efforts across the Goodwill enterprise.

Gackenbach holds bachelor's degrees in economics and Spanish from the University of Maryland. He earned a master's degree in strategic and economic business administration from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo, Brazil, and a master's degree in theology from the Facultad Teológica Latinoamericana in Miami, Fla.
