Jun. 18—Berks History Center

Marta Notarianni has joined the Berks History Center as its new business operations manager, effective May 24. In her new role, Notarianni is in charge of financial administration, membership enrollment, facilities maintenance, guest services, event planning, and volunteer coordination.

Before joining the Berks History Center, Notarianni spent more than 20 years working in the food and restaurant industry where she gained valuable skills in planning, organizing, and oversight of business practices. Most recently, she worked in operations management for the Fearless Restaurant Group led by restaurateur Marty Grims.

In addition, Notarianni's accomplishments include performing operations management consulting work with an international client base, being a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and being a member of the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers.

Herbein — FOS Risk Management

Herbein — FOS Risk Management, a division of CPA advisory firm Herbein + Co. Inc. has announced three additions to the firm partnership, effective May 1: Mark Gallagher, CRCM; Rachelle Gordon, CIA, CRCM, CRMA; and Lyle Loeb, CFSA.

Mark Gallagher has more than 14 years of professional experience, including 10 with Herbein — FOS Risk Management, and provides oversight of audit services to our financial institution clients with an emphasis on regulatory compliance, and internal audit and wealth management audit services. He earned a BSBA (concentration in fraud examination) from Bloomsburg University.

Rachelle Gordon has more than 24 years' experience, specializing in Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance, financial institution operations and compliance, and internal control assessments. She earned a BS in business administration, finance from Kutztown University, and a master's degree in business administration and nonprofit management.

Lyle Loeb has more than 18 years' experience, directing internal audit engagements for financial institution clients, and specializing in internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley FDICIA services. He earned a BS in accounting and management from Alvernia University.

The new partners have joined the leadership team of Herbein — FOS Risk Management, a leading provider of risk management services specializing in the banking industry. The partnership promotions precede a planned summer 2023 unification of all businesses, including Herbein — FOS Risk Management, under the Herbein name and brand identity.

Community Health & Dental Care

Andre Hewitt, MA, LPC, has joined Community Health and Dental Care as its new behavioral health director to its North Coventry health center location at 351 W. Schuylkill Road.

Hewitt comes to Community Health and Dental Care as an experienced behavioral health provider working with children and adults who are facing a wide range of mental and emotional difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, and impulse control. He is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.

He earned his BA in ministerial theology from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Ala. and his Master's in clinical counseling psychology from Eastern University in St. Davids.

Saxton & Stump

Saxton & Stump has recently added Amanda B. Wirls, a professional with a 15-year career in HR, including more than a decade of management and director experience. The move is a part of the firm's strategic growth plan, which saw the firm add 20 new attorneys so far in 2023.

Wirls joins several senior human resources professionals at Saxton & Stump and the firm's strategic HR partner, TREW HR. She will assist with the daily and strategic HR initiatives for Saxton & Stump, as well as providing outsource and ad hoc HR services through TREW. Wirls has overseen the HR department for companies with hundreds of employees throughout central Pennsylvania and beyond.

At Saxton & Stump, she will help lead the human resources department as well as work with the firm's strategic partner company TREW. She will perform day-to-day tasks such as recruiting, training, hiring, benefits and payroll and lead long-term projects as well.

Wirls is a graduate of Millersville University, is PHR certified and is a Society of Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional. She is a member of career advancement advisory boards at both Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center. Wirls is also a member of the board of directors at Camp Cadet of Lancaster County.
