May 21—Diamond Credit Union

Diamond Credit Union has named Stephen Markley as its new Chief Business Development Officer.

Markley brings more than 25 years of leadership experience to Diamond. He has held positions in strategic planning, business development, sales and service management, banking operations and team development.

Markley was most recently employed as a senior vice president and small business development sales manager at Fulton Bank before joining Diamond. He currently serves as a volunteer member for the Upper Bucks Board of Trustees at St. Luke's Hospital. He acts as an advocate for St. Luke's and helps to provide insight to hospital leaders to meet the needs of the Greater Upper Bucks community.

Markley is currently studying for his Master of Business Administration in data analytics from DeSales University. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration focused in finance, general, from DeSales in 2015.

Barley Snyder

Barley Snyder Partner Frederick M. Nice has been appointed to the Foundation for the Reading Public Museum's board of directors. As a board member, Nice will help further the museum's mission of educating, enlightening and engaging current and future generations through art, science and civilization.

The Reading Public Museum has provided educational experiences within the community for over a century by preserving a collection of art, history, science, and cultural artifacts from around the world. Since 2017, Nice has been active with the museum as a member of its finance committee. He is one of five new board members which consists of 13 total members.

In addition to Nice's museum involvement, he has volunteered with several nonprofit organizations including United Way of Berks County, Opportunity House, Reading Symphony Orchestra, Easterseals of Eastern Pennsylvania and more. Nice concentrates his law practice in the areas of business, banking, tax and estate planning and administration.

Saxton & Stump

Attorney Megan Barracato has joined Saxton & Stump's growing roster of litigators in both the Healthcare Litigation Group and the Commercial Litigation Group. Barracato will be based out of the firm's Malvern office and brings with her a diverse legal background as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney. She will represent physicians, medical professionals, hospitals, healthcare organizations and healthcare facilities defending medical malpractice claims, which is what she has done for the past five years.

She started her career as an assistant district attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, where she managed a caseload of more than 100 major felony violent crime cases and tried hundreds of felony bench trials and numerous felony jury trials to verdict. Before that, she interned at the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office while an undergraduate at Temple University and again as a law student at Temple University Beasley School of Law. While in law school, Barracato was a member of Temple's National Trial Team and won several awards and scholarships.

Pennsylvania Super Lawyers has named Barracato to its "Rising Stars" list each year from 2019 to 2022.

RKL LLP

RKL LLP has announced that two partners are moving into new leadership positions effective June 1. Wade G. Becker, CPA, CGMA, will move into the newly created role of chief revenue officer and Michael J. Eby, CPA, will succeed Becker as managing partner for RKL's Capital Region footprint.

Becker is taking the lead on business development at the firm after the untimely passing of Partner and Chief Business Development Office Scott J. Kimmel earlier this year. In his new position, Becker will also focus on strategic revenue initiatives for the firm.

Since joining the RKL partnership in February 2014, Becker has been active in business development and relationship management. He was integral to the launch of the firm's Harrisburg office in May 2014 and continued to build RKL's presence in the Capital Region.

Eby has been a leader in both the Tax Services Group and the Capital Region Office since joining RKL in November 2018. In his new Managing Partner role, Eby will oversee general operations and support the firm's growth in the Capital Region.

Becker holds a B.S. in finance and accounting from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and completed the Executive Education Program at Harvard University. Eby holds a B.S. in accounting from Messiah University. Both are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
