May 7—Mid Penn Bank

Chad Johnson has joined Mid Penn as a commercial loan manager and first vice president, effective April 17.

Johnson has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and comes to the bank from Customers Bank, where he was senior vice president and relationship manager. He managed a commercial loan portfolio comprised of both real estate and commercial projects in the Eastern Pennsylvania market with $100 million of credit exposure. In his new position with the Bank, he will report to senior vice president and regional president Joseph Butto.

Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from Kutztown University and a master's degree in business administration and marketing from Villanova University. He serves on the board of Big Brothers/Big Sisters Berks County and is a finance committee member of the Vision Resource Center of Berks County.

Greater Reading Chamber Alliance

The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) recently hired Jacqueline Stiles, who joins the team as the director of membership. Within this role, Stiles will be responsible for developing a comprehensive strategy to sustain and increase GRCA's membership base.

Most recently, Stiles served as director of institutional advancement at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish and Education Center where she oversaw enrollment and retention in addition to facilitation of all fundraising activities and results. Before that, Stiles was the director of academic advising and the head women's basketball coach at Chestnut Hill College.

Barley Snyder

Sarah Rubright McCahon, an attorney with Barley Snyder, has been named to Lehigh Valley Business's 2023 "Women of Influence" list.

The Women of Influence award honors high-achieving women for their career accomplishments. Honorees are selected by the Lehigh Valley Business editorial board based on their professional experience, community involvement and commitment to mentorship. To be eligible for the awards, the winners must live or work in the Greater Lehigh Valley region.

McCahon is a member of Barley Snyder's Trusts & Estates and Business practice groups, concentrating her practice in estate planning and administration. She regularly works with clients to develop comprehensive estate plans and assists them with the complexities of special needs trust administration and guardianships. Her business practice primarily includes advising nonprofit corporations.

McCahon is also active with community organizations, serving as chairwoman of Girls on the Run Berks County, as a member of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance's Women2Women, and as a volunteer with her daughters' Girl Scouts of America troop.

EnerSys

Shannon Thomas has been named chief human resources officer for EnerSys, the global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial. Her appointment is effective immediately. Thomas joins the executive team and reports directly to EnerSys President and CEO David M. Shaffer. She is responsible for the strategy, leadership and operations of the global human resources function, overseeing the company's talent lifecycle and development, total rewards, as well as its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

Thomas has more than 20 years of experience as a global human resources leader in rapidly changing industries. She served her most recent five years at Chemours, where she helped lead several transformational initiatives including organizational re-design and systems implementations resulting in upskilled talent, improved productivity and significant annual cost savings.

Thomas has held human resource leadership positions at several publicly traded and private companies, including Owens Corning, Hexion, Apex Tool Group, and the Eramet Group. She holds a Master of Business Administration in human resources management from the University of Houston and a bachelor degree in human resources management from Marietta College.

Dynapower

Berks County resident Lisa N. Moughan has been named director of marketing for Dynapower, in Burlington, Vt. In this new role, Moughan will lead marketing campaigns, promote product launches, and leverage analytics to drive marketing plans.

Previously, Moughan was director of marketing for 3SI Security Systems. She received a bachelor's degree in English from Gettysburg College and a master's in English from Kutztown University.

Saxton & Stump

Adam Friscia has joined Saxton & Stump as executive manager of business development and government relations. Friscia is a former business development executive at the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry where he was responsible for relationships with top executives at businesses and industry organizations throughout the state.

Friscia earned his master's degree in public administration from Shippensburg University, and also achieved his undergraduate degree in political science at the school. He now serves on the Shippensburg University Alumni board of directors. He has also earned professional certifications in Diversity & Inclusion in Education, Social Impact, Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace.

Friscia will bring his knowledge of Harrisburg to the Regulatory and Government Affairs and Environmental, Workplace Safety and Utilities Groups at Saxton & Stump. Friscia will support their work connecting clients with decision makers and helping to navigate the complexities of partnerships, government infrastructure and regulatory agencies. He will also work with the attorneys of the Environmental, Workplace Safety and Utilities Group.
