Sep. 11—Barley Snyder

Lehigh Valley Business has named Barley Snyder partner Thad M. Gelsinger to its annual Forty Under 40 list. The list recognizes professionals 40 years of age and younger who have been successful in the central Pennsylvania area. Honorees were selected based on professional accomplishments, community service and commitment to inspiring change.

Gelsinger is a partner in the firm's litigation, alternative dispute resolution and construction groups, focusing his practice on personal injury, commercial and fiduciary litigation. He currently serves as a board member and chair of the civil litigation section for the Berks County Bar Association. Gelsinger has also served on the board of directors and as president of the Greater Reading Young Professionals, the board of directors for the Berks County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association, and member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's House of Delegates.

Miller-Keystone Blood Center

Lina Barbieri, CFRE, has joined Miller-Keystone Blood Center as chief philanthropy officer. Barbieri is a graduate of DeSales University (Center Valley, PA) with a degree in business communications, and received her certification as a certified fund raising executive (CFRE) in 2013.

Prior to joining the Blood Center, she served as associate vice president of annual giving at DeSales University. She also was owner of Lina Barbieri Public Relations for five years and has held marketing and communications positions with DeSales University, Cabrini College, Muhlenberg College and Binney & Smith.

In her new role, Barbieri will be responsible for all operations of the Blood Center's fund development department, including individual giving, corporate and community partnerships, special events, grant applications and more. She will also play an integral role in maintaining and extending the Blood Center's brand in the communities it serves.

RKL LLP firm Partner Timothy Kraft, CPA, has been named one of Lehigh Valley Business's Forty Under 40 honorees. The award recognizes professionals 40 years of age and younger who are making an impact on the Greater Lehigh Valley through their career accomplishments, community service and commitment to inspiring change.

As a partner in RKL's audit services group, Kraft delivers assurance, financial reporting and consulting solutions to manufacturing and distribution companies and public transportation organizations. He helps his clients not only adapt to fast-paced technological and economic changes, but also identify and implement new opportunities presented by marketplace activity and consumer demand.

Kraft belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Government Finance Officers Association and the Pennsylvania Public Transportation Association. He earned his B.S. in accounting and finance from Villanova University.

Herbert, Rowland & Grubic Inc.

Herbert, Rowland & Grubic Inc. (HRG), has named Lance Weatherly an assistant vice president. He will be responsible for managing operations in the company's King of Prussia office and implementing the company's strategic plan for growth in eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Weatherly has 18 years of experience in the design and construction of stormwater management systems, water and wastewater utility systems, and transportation systems. He has extensive experience with private consulting firms, which is complemented by public sector experience managing stormwater, wastewater, and civil projects for a 200,000+ resident community.

HRG helps local governments and private sector companies plan, design and manage their civil infrastructure.

St. Luke's University Health Network

St. Luke's University Health Network has promoted Scott R. Wolfe to the position of network senior vice president of finance/chief financial officer.

Wolfe has served as the interim SVP of finance & CFO since January 2022, succeeding Thomas Lichtenwalner. During this time, he continued as president of St. Luke's Warren Campus based in Philipsburg, N.J. — the role he has had since April 2012 shortly after the former Warren Hospital joined St. Luke's a decade ago.

Wolfe has nearly 40 years of experience in the health care industry and has served in various leadership roles as chief executive, chief operating and chief financial officer for both large and smaller community-based acute care teaching hospitals in the Reading area, most recently as the president & CEO of The Reading Hospital.

Over the course of Wolfe's tenure at the helm of the Warren Campus, St. Luke's invested over $150 million in the New Jersey market of Warren and Hunterdon Counties, markedly improving care and expanding services.

Warren Campus has earned numerous national awards and honors, including an 'A' grade for patient safety and the "Top Hospital" award from the Leapfrog Group, and the American Heart Association's Gold Plus with Honor Roll Elite and Diabetes Honor Roll.
