Sep. 4—Tompkins Community Bank

Tompkins Community Bank has promoted Peter Rowley to senior vice president, commercial banking regional manager. In his new role, Rowley leads a team of lenders in delivering banking strategies that translate to increased profitability and operational efficiency for Tompkins' clients, while helping to strengthen the communities Tompkins serves. Rowley will also serve as successor to former SVP Tony Sabolis, a 12-year veteran of Tompkins.

A graduate of both Syracuse University and M&T Bank's Commercial Relationship Management Development program, Rowley formerly served as an associate vice president at M&T bank before joining Tompkins. He currently sits on the President's Advisory Council at Alvernia University and has been involved with Prospectus Berco, the United Way, and the John Paul II Center for Special Education. Most recently, Rowley was named a 2022 40 Under 40 honoree by Lehigh Valley Business Journal.

Tower Health

Tower Health has named Ann Blankenhorn, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, vice president, nursing clinical practice & education & center for patient safety. In this leadership role, Blankenhorn is responsible for system-wide nursing clinical practice, professional development, infection prevention, patient safety, nursing informatics, and patient education.

Blankenhorn joined Reading Hospital in 2009 as a senior director for the surgical division and oversaw the joint replacement center, orthopedics, and surgical/bariatrics/gynecology. She also successfully transitioned the opening of the medical complexity unit and the psychiatric emergency services area.

In 2018, she was named the senior director of clinical operations and was responsible for planning, administering, and directing the operations for the nursing department at Reading Hospital. Most recently she served as chief nursing officer at Pottstown Hospital for the past three years.

Blankenhorn received a BSN at Pennsylvania State University, an MSN at Drexel University, an MBA at Alvernia University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice at Thomas Jefferson University.

Herbein + Company Inc.

Herbein + Company Inc. recently has named five senior managers to firm partnership, effective Oct. 1 — the largest new partner class in Herbein's 50-year history.

David Breitegam joined Herbein in 2007 and is a member of the firm's tax and small business department. He works with clients in the construction, dairy, and manufacturing industries, and specializes in performing business valuations as part of the firm's management advisory services group.

Keith Hoffman joined Herbein in 2000 and is a member of Herbein's small business department. He is responsible for overseeing family and closely held business clients and specializes in consulting services for clients in various industries including construction, real estate, hospitality and lodging, franchise, and individual taxpayers.

Amanda Jackowski began her career as a Herbein tax intern in 2010, and later joined the firm's accounting and auditing department. She primarily works with clients in the agribusiness space, including cooperatives, dairies, nonprofits, and manufacturing entities, as well as providing employee benefit plan audit services. Jackowski leads audit teams for several of Herbein's largest clients with revenues more than $1 billion.

Christopher Kunkle is a member of Herbein's accounting and auditing department, primarily focused on construction, engineering and manufacturing industry clients, as well as employee benefit plan audits. He is involved in Herbein's forensic and cyber security niches, and has earned the certified fraud examiner and certified information technology professional credentials.

Michael Malinsky leverages his 30 plus years of experience in accounting and auditing to provide exceptional client service. His experience includes working with a variety of for-profit entities, assisting them in their audit compliance needs, special consulting needs, and in other areas.
