Newspaper delivery changes are coming to The Tuscaloosa News. What to know.

The Tuscaloosa News reaches readers in several ways: through our print publication, a website, our app and on social media.

We value our loyal readers, and we have news to share about a change that will affect our paying subscribers. Beginning Monday, subscribers will have their newspaper delivered by the U.S. Postal Service.

The goal of this transition is to ensure our newspaper delivery is consistent. A number of economic and workforce factors have created ongoing challenges with our newspaper delivery. Delivering the print edition through the USPS is the best way to guarantee our work gets into the hands of paid subscribers.

NICK SABAN COMMEMORATIVE BOOK: Relive Nick Saban’s epic Alabama football coaching career with our special book! Preorder here.

With this change, the Sunday edition will be delivered on Saturdays. Advertising inserts now delivered on Sundays will be included and delivered to subscribers on Saturdays.  The Saturday edition will remain in an electronic-only format.

We know this shift will affect many of your morning routines since newspapers will arrive later. We greatly appreciate your understanding and adapting to the change.

Still need local news with your morning coffee? We have you covered.

If you enjoy reading in a newspaper format, the eNewspaper is available on your computer or mobile device. That electronic replica of the printed paper is available each morning and is full of bonus content not available in the printed product. With your subscription, you also have universal access to eNewspaper publications across our network, including USA TODAY, as well as unlimited access to the USA TODAY Crossword digital app and site.

Information is also always timely on our websites and our app. Your subscription will continue to provide you with full access to our websites, plus early morning newsletters delivered to your email. These emails will provide you with highlights so that you can jump right into these stories and enjoy the rest of the paper later in the day.

We remain committed to local journalism, as we have shown recently with the coverage of Nick Saban’s retirement, the hiring of Kalen DeBoer at the University of Alabama and the effects of January’s arctic weather in the Tuscaloosa area.

If you have any questions about the change or need assistance accessing the eNewspaper, please contact customer service at 1-800-844-2637.

Thank you for your support as we navigate this change.
