Next Level Oxygen Hyperbaric Med Spa has now taken over the entire space at 901 Scenic Highway in Pensacola and hosted a ribbon cutting with the Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce on Sept. 29 to mark the occasion.

"This past year was really an opportunity for us to begin to offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy to the community," Next Level Oxygen Hyperbaric Med Spa owner Aimee Allenback said. "We knew some people would love finding out that we're here and offering this service now. We had no idea the amount of people who were actually looking for this therapy who are now coming to us."

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized environment. According to Next Level Oxygen Hyperbaric Med Spa, patients undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy have reported a range of benefits including improved circulation, pain relief, reduced inflammation, improved mental clarity, injury repair, fighting infection and disease and anti-aging.

Taking over the entire building means Allenback has more space to offer new services, such as BrainTap brain fitness and full spectrum infrared sauna treatments.

"We started out with two chambers, and we now have three," Allenback said. "We can now serve so many people in a day. We're still open five days a week but as we continue to reach people's goals with the additional offerings that we have, we know we can really develop a wellness plan to help people reach their optimal health."

According to Allenback, since opening Next Level Oxygen Hyperbaric Med Spa, she's been able to help a wide range of people. From NFL players visiting Pensacola over the summer, to people seeking relief from ailments that affect their immune systems, it's the change in people that Allenback finds rewarding.

"For people who are new who haven't tried it, they really should come in and at least do it for the experience," Allenback said. "We've got those who were helping with slowing down any kind of degeneration of any disease like Alzheimer's or the progression of pulmonary fibrosis. We are nearing the end of the pandemic and people are still suffering from the effects. One of our clients said we gave her her life back. You really can't ask for more than that kind of a testimonial when you're doing anything."

Next Level Oxygen Hyperbaric Med Spa is also committed to giving back to the military community and is launching a new military appreciation initiative in November, Allenback said.

"I'm a military brat, and for the first Monday of every month, beginning in November, veterans can actually sign up for a free one hour of service or (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) session for the military community," Allenback said. "They will need to provide a DD214 or an active duty military ID to secure that appointment. They will just call us, we'll get them in the session will be free and we'll be running about roughly nine to 12 sessions every Monday."

As for what comes next, for Allenback, it's wide open.

"The future is the most exciting part," Allenback said. "We started out with just hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and that is always going to be the base of what we do. We know we're healing from within, but because there's so many other great wellness modalities out there that are noninvasive, we have added our full spectrum infrared sauna. This can greatly help detoxify people from the environmental toxins that are causing some of the inflammation in their body."

She added, "We're going to continue to teach people about why it's important to do it, including the frequency of doing it. And then we will continue to help those who are recovering, reducing something else that ails them, and those who are just want to age gracefully. We are here for all of it."
