The Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $653 million as of Tuesday morning, with a cash value of $350.5 million. Since Nov. 19, no one has claimed the top Powerball prize, causing the jackpot to shoot past $500 million in recent weeks.

How many numbers in Powerball do you need to win?
If you match at least one number to the Powerball drawing, you do win some prize money. But if you are looking to hit the jackpot, you need more than one match.
To play the Powerball, you select five white ball numbers and one "Powerball," or red ball, number. For an extra dollar, you may choose to "power play," which multiplies all non-grand prize winnings by a factor of 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10.
