FlixBus is now serving Tallahassee as part of its network expansion of Florida destinations.

Last month, the bus service company kicked off two new lines between Tallahassee-Tampa-Miami and Tallahassee-Orlando-Miami with a series of local connections on both lines.

In an effort to attract college students, the new Tallahassee stop at Florida State University,  900 W. Tennessee St., offers a new option for convenient and budget-friendly bus service.

According to the company, the route for Tallahassee-Orlando-Miami operates six days per week and provides local connections to Lake City, Gainesville, Ocala, Orlando, Kissimmee, Fort Lauderdale, Miami International Airport and downtown Miami.

The Tallahassee-Tampa-Miami routes run five days per week and includes connections to Gainesville, Ocala, Tampa, Bradenton, Sarasota, Fort Myers Northeast/Southeast, Naples, Hollywood and Miami International Airport.  Fares start at roughly $62.

FlixBus is Europe’s largest long-distance bus network and has expanded its global reach to Brazil, Canada and the United States. In May 2019, FlixBus offered $4.99 seats during its East Coast debut with routes connecting New York City; Washington, D.C.; Baltimore; and Richmond, Virginia, according to USA Today.
