Bills Mafia is at it again.
No, they’re not crashing through tables. (Well, they probably are, but that’s not what this story is about.) After the Buffalo Bills’ 17-3 playoff win over the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night, during which quarterback Lamar Jackson left with a concussion, Bills fans began donating to Jackson’s favorite charity, the Louisville chapter of Blessings in a Backpack.
Love and respect between two fanbases
It started with a post on Reddit with the subject “Here’s Lamar Jackson’s favorite charity.” It included just a screenshot of the user’s donation receipt and no other text. The community responded without hesitation, posting screenshots of their own donations along with “get well soon” wishes for Jackson.
Mixed in with the screenshots and well-wishes were messages from Ravens fans who were grateful for the gesture. The entire thread is filled with an unexpected amount of love and respect between two opposing fan bases, and it’s genuinely heartwarming.
Word about the donations spread to Twitter overnight, with numerous Bills fans giving $8, $17 or $17.08 as a nod to Jackson’s number (8) and Bills quarterback Josh Allen’s number (17).

There’s no update yet on how much has been raised, but you can imagine that Blessings in a Backpack, a charity that provides food to elementary school students who might go hungry on the weekends, is grateful for the support.
Bills fans are known for being next-level intense when it comes to supporting their team, but they’re showing yet again that it goes beyond crashing through tables or showing off painted chests in subzero temperatures. It’s not just about celebrating their team, but honoring and respecting the competition.
