Here we go with the Single Game NFL DFS slate for Monday Night Football of Wild Card Weekend. Today’s matchup is between the Cardinals and Rams with Los Angeles checking in as a 3.5 point home favorite. The over/under currently rests at 49.5 total points. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 ET.

We’ll highlight the top picks and best bargains to assemble a cash-inducing lineup. On top of that, the “additional notes” section will feature several tournament selections while adding context to the rest of this slate.

We will be producing these articles throughout the playoffs, so be sure to bookmark the NBC Sports EDGE DFS Page for those occasions - not to mention all the other fantastic daily fantasy content.

TOP PICKS

Kyler Murray - QB - Arizona (DK: $11,600 / FD: $15,000 / Yahoo: $34)

Murray doesn’t need much of an introduction for fantasy purposes. Of course, he’s a top pick for your Captain, MVP, and Superstar spot. The Arizona QB has strong rushing upside to go along with his robust numbers in the passing game. He has looked decent against the Rams this season, hitting 23 and 20 fantasy points respectively against this divisional foe. That’s a realistic baseline for Murray, and there are several outlets to upside, especially if he finds the end-zone with his legs.

Cooper Kupp - WR - LA Rams (DK: $11,400 / FD: $17,500 / Yahoo: $36)

Kupp continues to amaze, as he came close to setting the single-season record for receptions and receiving yardage. He should continue to operate as an elite fantasy option in this Wild Card Round against the Cardinals. Kupp (and his QB) struggled for efficiency in the first meeting with Arizona this season, but he bounced back for a cool 13-123-1 line against the Cardinals in mid-December. Kupp is a strong choice through all formats, and he holds value as a Captain on DraftKings - which is a full PPR site. Arizona has allowed the third-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.

BEST BARGAINS

Chase Edmonds - RB - Arizona (DK: $5,000 / FD: $11,000 / Yahoo: $15)

The injury situation of the night revolves around Arizona RB James Conner, who is listed as questionable. If Conner is out/limited, then Edmonds steps in as an easy DFS pick. He’s simply too cheap on DraftKings and Yahoo if an RB1 role awaits him. The price has been hiked up on FanDuel, but he would still garner consideration if Conner doesn’t play. Keep an eye on this situation as we move closer to kickoff.

Antoine Wesley - WR - Arizona (DK: $2,600 / FD: $8,500 / Yahoo: $15)

Wesley has stepped up admirably with DeAndre Hopkins out of the picture due to injury. Of course, the Arizona receiver situation is a revolving door of production that is difficult to predict. However, there’s reason to believe that Wesley can do some fantasy damage for a cheap salary - especially on DraftKings. He’ll probably only see four or five targets, but Wesley has scored three touchdowns in his last three games.

TOURNAMENT LOOKS

Cam Akers - RB - LA Rams (DK: $6,600 / FD: $7,500 / Yahoo: $16)

We really don’t know what Aker’s workload will look like. That’s why he’s a risk/reward tournament option. He was eased into action with five carries and three catches last week. I’m expecting that to increase, but we aren’t sure how much work he’ll see. Will it be a true 50/50 split with Sony Michel? Will Akers be more of a third-down back? That’s the gamble associated with this pick.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Matthew Stafford (QB - LAR) can be viewed alongside Murray and Kupp as a top play. You should be able to stack all three in the same lineup on each site. Of course, we’ll need to monitor certain value situations (Conner/Edmonds) to help make that work … Odell Beckham Jr. (WR - LAR) and Tyler Higbee (TE - LAR) are in the same boat as strong tournament options (especially Higbee) who are borderline cash playable as long as you aren’t reaching to roster them.

James Conner (RB - ARI) was outlined in Edmonds’ write-up above. If Conner plays, then he’s a fantastic fantasy asset to consider. We’ll need to double-check his status and proposed workload while dealing with the rib injury.

Who wants to play whac-a-mole tonight? We don’t know who will step up in the Arizona receiving corps between Christian Kirk (WR - ARI), A.J. Green (WR - ARI), and Zach Ertz (TE - ARI). There’s a chance none of them will find paydirt and the running game (Murray included) takes over. I’m price sensitive between these options, as Green is too cheap on FanDuel and Ertz presents value on Yahoo.

Sony Michel (RB - LAR) is caught up in the risk/reward scenario outlined with Akers. If Akers is more of a change-up or third-down back, then Michel becomes an interesting fantasy option with the bulk of carries. There’s no guarantee in the workload, however … Van Jefferson (WR - LAR) is questionable tonight. Assuming he plays, he makes for an interesting tournament option while trying to strike a big play or two.
