Which NFL fanbase is most stressed? This study ranks Indianapolis Colts fans at the top

It's no secret this past season was a miserable experience for Indianapolis Colts fans.

The Colts finished 4-12-1 in 2022 and are now looking for a head coach after firing Frank Reich during the season.

But how bad was it? According to a release from Verve Search, the Colts fanbase was the most stressed group among NFL supporters.

Replay Poker analyzed more than 490,000 tweets from fans for negative sentiment using the AI tool TensiStrength and found 36.8% of the fanbase's tweets were negative. New Orleans Saints fans were a close second at 36.5%. Coming in third and fourth respectively were two other AFC South teams, the Houston Texans (35.7%) and Jacksonville Jaguars (33.9%).

More than half of the teams in the top 10 were from the AFC, the study noted. American football was ranked as the third most stressful sport to follow.

The study didn't just look into football. It analyzed the world's 10 most popular sports to determine which games, teams, leagues and tournaments have the most stressed fans.

Are Indiana Pacers fans stressed out as much as Colts fans?

Things turned out a little better for fans in Indiana when it came to the NBA.

Among the most stressed basketball fans, the Miami Heat were at the top (32.4%). Pacers fans came in at No. 14 with 24% negative tweets.
