This NFL free agent star wide receiver is training in Bradenton, Florida
NFL free agent Odell Beckham Jr. is in Bradenton.
The wide receiver posted photos and videos to his social media channels from workouts at IMG Academy, a private sports academy in Bayshore Gardens, during the past two weeks.
Beckham Jr. also posted posed photos at the Manatee Avenue Market located at 5104 Manatee Ave W.
He won last year’s Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, which is the last NFL game he has played. In the Super Bowl win during the Cincinnati Bengals, it was reported Beckham sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.
However, Beckham Jr., nicknamed OBJ, claimed in a July tweet that he played the second-half of the season with the torn ACL.
Beckham Jr., who turned 30 in November, began his NFL career in 2014 with the New York Giants after a collegiate career at LSU. That 2014 season saw Beckham Jr. making a one-handed highlight-reel catch in a prime time game against the Dallas Cowboys as he became one of the game’s top receivers
He left the Giants in 2019 to play for the Cleveland Browns, before departing for the Rams in 2021.
Recently, Beckham Jr. grabbed headlines for an incident before a November flight from Miami to Los Angeles. Bodycam footage from the Miami-Dade Police Department was released following officers responding to a medical emergency involving Beckham Jr. on the flight, according to CBS News.
The outlet reported flight attendants asked Beckham Jr. to leave the plane before it took off after thinking he was ill, and he refused. The result was officers escorting Beckham Jr., who later tweeted about it, off the plane at Miami International Airport, according to a Miami Herald report.
