At the rate he’s going, the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce is going to become the franchise leader in career receiving yards sometime during the 2023 season.

Kelce already owns a number of NFL records for tight ends and is regarded as one of the best receivers to play the position.

Brian Baldinger, an analyst for the NFL Network, looked at Kelce’s body of work in the Chiefs’ 42-21 victory against the Steelers in Sunday’s AFC Wild Card playoff game. Baldinger said Kelce has multiple excellent skills, but blocking just might be his best.

With clips from the win over the Steelers, Baldinger showcased all Kelce did in the game.

“Let’s have a little contest here. Let’s just see which skill set is Travis Kelce best at?” Baldinger said. “Is he best at being the lead blocker like he was on the game’s first play to Jerick McKinnon right here, when he hits (Chris) Wormley and then he just throws him right into the trash dump.

“Or is he better at quarterback, where he’s in a Wildcat and does a little read option right here? Looks like he wanted to jump, well, he did jump and then it just became like a little Mahomes sidearm throw to (Byron) Pringle. Was that better? Or was this deep over route for 48 yards, was that the best of Travis Kelce last night? Or is it the dance after the celebration? Which skill set is Travis Kelce best at right now? Like, ranking from one to four. I’m going blocking No. 1.”
