Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt is expected to miss a few weeks with a calf injury suffered in Sunday's loss, Ian Rapoport reported for NFL Network. Head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters Monday morning the injury was "signifiant" and he'd be out "weeks."

Hunt is expected to be put on injured reserve, Rapoport said. Hunt left the field on a cart in the fourth quarter of 33-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Lead back Nick Chubb was already out with a calf injury he sustained a week prior.

It's another injury for the Browns as they mount up through six weeks of the regular season. And the team is on a short week with the Denver Broncos (3-3) coming in to Cleveland on Thursday night.

Stefanski appeared hopeful Monday that Hunt could return.

"Not gonna rule him out yet," Stefanski told reporters, via Zac Jackson at The Athletic. "The short week makes it harder, but he's progressing."

The Browns (3-3) will be without rookie linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah as a significant injury will also keep him out for a few weeks, Stefanski said. It is reportedly a high-ankle sprain, which has a standard recovery time of 4-6 weeks.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield, who is already dealing with a reported torn labrum, nearly re-injured that non-throwing shoulder on a sack by J.J. Watt. He left the game for the injury tent, but briefly returned on the next possession much like when he initially hurt the shoulder.

While wearing a sling after the game, he told reporters he thinks he dislocated his shoulder.

Receiver Odell Beckham Jr. exited during the second quarter while favoring his arm. He was seen in the medical tent before heading to the locker room and announced as questionable to return with a shoulder injury.

Stefanski said Monday the team will "gather information and see how those guys do over the next couple days."

The Browns started the day without No. 1 wide receiver Jarvis Landry and starting tackles Jack Conklin and Jedrick Wills Jr.

Stefanski said he won't know who his available for the Thursday night matchup for another 24-48 hours.

"We have guys that may make it to the game, or may not," he told reporters. "That's just life in the big city."
