The Arizona Cardinals are now the worst team in the NFL according to some recent league power rankings.

Several sites rank Arizona's NFL team No. 32 in the league (out of 32 teams) amid the team's rough offseason and start to NFL free agency.

That's not good.

Quarterback Kyler Murray is injured and expected to miss a lot of the 2023 season. The team lost key contributors in free agency and to retirement and has been pretty quiet in its offseason acquisitions and signings so far.

Is it going to be a very long season in Arizona?

Some NFL writers think so, judging by their recent comments on the Cardinals in their latest NFL power rankings.

Need some good news?

Some sites don't have Arizona ranked last in the NFL in their recent rankings of NFL teams amid free agency.

We found two that have the team at No. 30.

Hey, we guess that's a step in the right direction.

NFL.com: Cardinals fall three spots to No. 32 in NFL power rankings

Dan Hanzus writes: "You know things are tough for the Cardinals when the top team headline on a competing website reads "J.J. Watt raves about Taylor Swift 'Eras Tour' concert." Watt is fawning over pop stars in retirement, Kyler Murray could miss a significant portion of the upcoming season and DeAndre Hopkins might have already played his final game in the desert. Our only hope is that the new braintrust gives new head coach Jonathan Gannon more time to build a program than Steve Wilks got when he was in a similarly challenging situation with Arizona."

Sports Illustrated: Cardinals ranked No. 32 in NFL power rankings

Conor Orr writes: "Kyler Murray isn’t starting the season, J.J. Watt is gone and DeAndre Hopkins could end up being shipped out in a draft-day deal à la Hollywood Brown and A.J. Brown a year ago. This division belongs to the 49ers right now, and the Seahawks aren’t regressing any time soon. The Cardinals would not have gotten rid of a coach and general manager in the early stages of a long-term extension if they didn’t know how bad a shape they were in."

Pro Football Network: Cardinals down to No. 32 in NFL power rankings

Dalton Miller writes: "Not much has happened in Arizona to persuade or dissuade us. They’re a team in need of much love over the next twelve months in order to rebound for 2024. Kyler Murray’s injury is likely to keep him from the field for a good portion of the season, so 2023 will act as a year for Jonathan Gannon and the rest of an inexperienced coaching staff to get up to speed. Arizona has been relatively quiet thus far in free agency. Adding Kyzir White would be considered ironic, given he’s a former safety-turned-linebacker, but his relationship and experience with Gannon make the signing a much more serious and commendable affair."

The Score: Cardinals at No. 30 in latest NFL power rankings

It writes: "Arizona's biggest free-agent acquisition is linebacker Kyzir White. That's not great news for a team that lost its top two edge rushers and best cornerback this offseason. Plus, Kyler Murray isn't expected to be ready for the season opener due to a torn ACL."
