NFL power rankings Week 9: Eagles, Vikings, Titans, Bills continue impressive win streaks

Some NFL teams kept some impressive win streaks going in NFL Week 8.
No one has been hotter than the Philadelphia Eagles, who are 7-0 to start the season after a 35-13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
But some other teams have also put together some nice runs of consecutive wins.
The Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans have both won five straight games after Minnesota beat the Arizona Cardinals, 34-26, and Tennessee beat the Houston Texans, 17-10.

The Buffalo Bills are riding a 4-game win streak of their own after a 27-17 win over the Green Bay Packers.
Those win streaks have all four of those teams in the Top 6 of our latest NFL power rankings ahead of NFL Week 9.

32. Detroit Lions (32)
Lost to Miami Dolphins, 31-27, to fall to 1-6. We thought the Lions were going to be improved this season. They have shown glimpses, but that has just not been the case.
31. Houston Texans (31)
Lost to Tennessee Titans, 17-10, to fall to 1-5-1. It's going to be another long season in Houston, which needs much more than just a quarterback.

30. Jacksonville Jaguars (29)
Lost to Denver Broncos, 21-17, to fall to 2-6. This team has had some very close losses during its five-game skid, but they do have a five-game skid.
29. Pittsburgh Steelers (28)
Lost to Philadelphia Eagles, 35-13, to fall to 2-6. This team has only scored 120 points this season. It has given up 197.
28. Carolina Panthers (27)
Lost to Atlanta Falcons, 37-34 in OT, to fall to 2-6. D.J. Moore's celebration ended up costing the Panthers a victory that would have put them right in the NFC South race.
27. Las Vegas Raiders (22)
Lost to New Orleans Saints, 24-0, to fall to 2-5. It's hard to get shut out in the NFL. The Raiders made it look easy with how bad they played in Week 8.

26. Chicago Bears (24)
Lost to Dallas Cowboys, 49-29, to fall to 3-5. Chicago is just 1-4 away from the friendly confines of Solider Field.
25. Denver Broncos (30)
Beat Jacksonville Jaguars, 21-17, to improve to 3-5. A win is a win. Russell Wilson and the Broncos desperately needed that victory in London.
24. Cleveland Browns (25)
Beat Cincinnati Bengals, 32-13, to improve to 3-5. With Nick Chubb, this team could still have a say in the AFC North race.
23. Green Bay Packers (23)
Lost to Buffalo Bills, 27-17, to fall to 3-5. It's amazing how the loss of your No. 1 wide receiver can make your quarterback and offense look pedestrian.

22. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (19)
Lost to Baltimore Ravens, 27-22, to fall to 3-5. It really is looking like it could be a very long season for Tom Brady and company.
21. New Orleans Saints (26)
Beat Las Vegas Raiders, 24-0, to improve to 3-5. Is there a more enigmatic team in the NFL? They are great one beat, and terrible the next. They were great in Week 8.
20. Arizona Cardinals (16)
Lost to Minnesota Vikings, 34-26, to fall to 3-5. DeAndre Hopkins is really good, but Arizona has to find some other answers on offense.
19. Indianapolis Colts (17)
Lost to Washington Commanders, 17-16, to fall to 3-4-1. Imagine what this team could do with some average quarterback play.
18. Los Angeles Rams (10)
Lost to San Francisco 49ers, 31-14, to fall to 3-4. The defending champions have issues, but they still have time to sort things out.

17. Washington Commanders (20)
Beat Indianapolis Colts, 17-16, to improve to 4-4. It hasn't been pretty, but the Commanders have won three straight games.
16. Atlanta Falcons (21)
Beat Carolina Panthers, 37-34 in OT, to improve to 4-4. The Falcons are in first place in the NFC South, and are .500 on the season.
15. New England Patriots (18)
Beat New York Jets, 22-17, to improve to 4-4. The Patriots are in last place in the AFC East, and are .500 on the season.
14. Cincinnati Bengals (9)
Lost to Cleveland Browns, 32-13, to fall to 4-4. The Bengals could not get anything going on the ground in their loss to the Browns.
13. Los Angeles Chargers (14)
Did not play. Team is 4-3 on the season coming out of its bye week with the Atlanta Falcons up next.

12. San Francisco 49ers (15)
Beat Los Angeles Rams, 31-14, to improve to 4-4. That Christian McCaffrey trade already paid off in the Week 8 victory.
11. New York Jets (7)
Lost to New England Patriots, 22-17, to fall to 5-3. New York's four-game win streak was snapped ahead of a tough test against the Buffalo Bills.
10. Seattle Seahawks (13)
Beat New York Giants, 27-13, to improve to 5-3. Maybe, just maybe, Pete Carroll knows what he is doing in Seattle.
9. Baltimore Ravens (12)
Beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 274-22, to improve to 5-3. This team seems to be in a lot of close games, but have won two straight of them.

8. Miami Dolphins (11)
Beat Detroit Lions, 31-27, to improve to 5-3. Tyreek Hill has been nothing short of phenomenal in his first season in Miami.
7. New York Giants (4)
Lost to Seattle Seahawks, 27-13, to fall to 6-2. The bye week comes at a perfect time for the Giants, who face the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions in Weeks 10 and 11.
6. Tennessee Titans (8)
Beat Houston Texans, 17-10, to improve to 5-2. The Titans haven't lost since opening the season 0-2.
5. Dallas Cowboys (6)
Beat Chicago Bears, 49-29, to improve to 6-2. Tony Pollard is a dynamic running back who never seems to get enough credit.
4. Kansas City Chiefs (5)
Did not play. Team is 5-2 on the season coming out of its bye week. An NFL Week 9 showdown with the Tennessee Titans looms.
3. Minnesota Vikings (3)
Beat Arizona Cardinals, 34-26, to improve to 6-1. The Vikings' only loss came against the 7-0 Eagles in Week 2.
2. Buffalo Bills (2)
Beat Green Bay Packers, 27-17, to improve to 6-1. This team appears to be the most complete team in the AFC.
1. Philadelphia Eagles (1)
Beat Pittsburgh Steelers, 35-13, to improve to 7-0. The Jalen Hurts to A.J. Brown connection is special and could lead Philadelphia to a very special season.
