It’s NFL schedule release day!

While the league will announce its full slate of games at 8 p.m. Wednesday, we should have a good idea of where and when the Dolphins will play in 2021 before then.

A big shoe has already dropped: The Miami Dolphins will again return to London this season, playing a “road” game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 17. This will be the Dolphins’ fifth game in the United Kingdom. They lost three of the previous four games there.

Week 1 was announced during the network morning shows. The Miami Dolphins travel to New England for the opener for the second straight year. The New York Jets open at Carolina in the Sam Darnold revenge game. The Buffalo Bills host the Pittsburgh Steelers in their opener. Both of those are 1 p.m. kickoffs.

Plus there will be leaks. We will document them all here as the day unfolds.

10:25 a.m. TV update: For the first time, the NFL will permit CBS and Fox to both carry double-headers in Week 1. But the Dolphins-Patriots game on CBS likely will be televised only in the Northeast, Florida, Hawaii (because of Tua Tagovailoa) and a few other markets, with most of the country likely to receive Cleveland-Kansas City in that 4:25 p.m. CBS window.

Also, the Oct. 17 Dolphins-Jaguars game in London will be televised by CBS. In past years, NFL Network, CBS and Fox have split the overseas games. That game will be a Jaguars’ home game, meaning the Dolphins this season will play nine home games, seven games in the opposing team’s stadium and one game in London.

12:45 p.m. update: Independent NFL reporter Dov Kleiman tweeted out the entire Saints, Patriots and Jets schedules, which provide clarity on four of the 15 remaining Dolphins mysteries. The games have been reflected in the schedule below.
