Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed wasn’t chosen for the All-Pro team or even the Pro Bowl, but he’ll likely get a nice consolation prize after the season: a big contract.

The Chiefs would be wise to lock up Sneed because he has locked down opposing wide receivers all season. That included Saturday’s AFC Wild Card game, which the Chiefs won 26-7.

Pro Football Focus noted that went Sneed was covering Hill, he had just one catch for 9 yards.

After the game, Hill praised Sneed and Trent McDuffie, noting the Chiefs did a good job of getting hands on the Dolphins receivers at the line of scrimmage.

One play in particular showed how Sneed slowed Hill. The NFL shared mic’d-up video of Sneed jamming Hill at the line.

The Dolphins had a third-and-13 play from their own 17-yard line in the second quarter when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was sacked. After the snap, Hill was knocked to the ground at the line of scrimmage by Sneed, who showed a bulldog mentality.

It’s interesting to hear that audio as Sneed and Hill went at it.

Even Hill was impressed with the video. Athletes will talk about sending an opponent to Cancun after a playoff game. Hill referenced that when he quoted the NFL’s tweet and wrote: “Jammed my ahh to Cancun” with a laughing emoji.
