NFL Twitter reacts to Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins' 6-game suspension
The NFL has suspended the Arizona Cardinals' DeAndre Hopkins for the first six games of the 2022 season for violating the NFL's Performance Enhancing Drug Policy.
The NFL world reacted to the suspension quickly when it was first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.
How will the suspension impact the Cardinals, Kliff Kingsbury, Kyler Murray, Marquise Brown and Hopkins himself?

The DeAndre Hopkins suspension is the biggest crushing blow to the Arizona Cardinals in the 2022 offseason. Not Chandler Jones, Christian Kirk or Chase Edmonds leaving via free agency. This has the most impact by far.

Looks like Hollywood Brown quickly moves up from the Cardinals’ No. 2 to No. 1 WR within five days after they traded for him.

We've seen how much the Cardinals struggle without DeAndre Hopkins. A six-game suspension is brutal and could torpedo the season before it begins.

We all know the #AZCardinals struggles without DeAndre Hopkins in the lineup last season.
We also saw this a few years ago with Patrick Peterson. Getting ready for the season in camp was weird, then you miss 6-weeks... then it's tough to get thrown back in there. @12SportsAZ— Cameron Cox (@CamCox12) May 2, 2022
Cards were 8-2 with DeAndre Hopkins in the lineup last season. Offense was below average without Nuk down the stretch. A 6-game suspension is a crushing blow to start 2022 for Kyler Murray and crew.

DeAndre Hopkins is being suspended for the first six games of the season due to the NFL’s PED policy, per Adam Schefter.
That Hollywood signing came at the perfect time, eh?— lindsey ok (@lindseyyok) May 2, 2022
We went from "Hop don't miss games" as a quote from A.J. Green in 2021 to DeAndre Hopkins missing the equivalent of an entire season due to injuries and now a PED suspension.
He has a $30 million cap hit next offseason. Will be 30 years old, too.

Don’t ever put Deandre Hopkins as the best WR in the league again.

It's a good thing the Arizona #Cardinals traded for Marquise Brown. DeAndre Hopkins will miss the team's first 6 games. This team can't seem to get out of their own way. pic.twitter.com/rSiD7x7euY

I'm glad DeAndre Hopkins got traded because we don't support cheaters in Houston. Never have, never will. 💯

Well, with DeAndre Hopkins getting suspended for six games this upcoming season, perhaps it makes more sense as to why the Cardinals traded for Marquise Brown during the NFL Draft. Big loss for Arizona. https://t.co/UpfouzFPAE

DeAndre Hopkins with those @P2 vibes.

Can’t replace a talent like DeAndre Hopkins, but #Cardinals passing attack should still be solid without him for 6 games.
They re-signed Zach Ertz/A.J. Green, traded for Hollywood Brown and drafted Tre McBride. Rondale Moore going into Year 2.
It’s a hit, but they got depth.— Maurice Moton (@MoeMoton) May 2, 2022
Last season, DeAndre Hopkins' target share plummeted by ~10 percentage points and he missed 8 games.
Then ARZ added a whole bunch of mouths to feed.
Now he's suspended 6 games.
In June, he turns 30.— Mike Clay (@MikeClayNFL) May 2, 2022
It's going to be tough for Kliff Kingsbury to have his standard-operating-procedure fast start without DeAndre Hopkins for the first six games. And if the Cardinals have the fade that Kingsbury's teams have been known for ... it could be a frustrating season in the desert.

DeAndre Hopkins missed Arizona's final four regular-season games and one playoff game last season due to a knee injury. He's now slated to miss 11-straight games for the Cardinals. The star WR last played on Dec. 13, 2021.
