MINTY BETS: Welcome to "Yahoo Sportsbook Daily." It's September 24. I'm Minty Bets joined by Pam Maldonado. And today, we have our favorite NFL wagers and college football tonight on the docket. Pam, why don't you kick us off with some NFL?

PAM MALDONADO: Minty, I'm going on the road less traveled taking the Jets plus-10 and 1/2 at the Denver Broncos. Zach Wilson-- he's looked gosh darn awful, which I predicted into the preseason that that would happen. But that's only because he has faced two top pass rushing teams in the NFL.

Carolina, they are number one in quarterback pressure right now to start things off. Through two games, Zach Wilson has been pressured on 50% of his drop backs. And Zach Wilson has been sacked on 30% of his drop backs, both of which are the highest rates in the NFL. And what has that resulted in? In Zach Wilson only having two touchdowns and five interceptions on 10 sacks.

Denver is not that. And this Denver defense has only forced three sacks, all of which coming from Von Miller and just two interceptions. The Broncos' secondary is definitely a little vulnerable. It has shown that it is susceptible against the pass. They allowed a 37-yard touchdown pass and a 42-yard pass from Daniel Jones, three passing plays of 20-plus yards to Trevor Lawrence.

And the Jets, even though their offense has been struggling against the pass rush, it is the defense that's keeping them in these games. It was a good defense last year. It's a good defense this year. The Jets kept it within one score versus Carolina. And against New England, it was when Zach Wilson had four interceptions. That is unlikely to happen again.

This is the first week that we will see a better production from the Jets offense. Give me the Jets. It's scary, but sometimes the scary bets are the right ones to make.

MINTY BETS: Is scary indeed. I would be terrified to bet that. But you were so right about Zach Wilson and this offense. So I am going to might tell you on that. But we'll see.

Next up. Now, onto the second pick. I think me and you share this same one as we both like the Chargers plus-6 and 1/2 over Kansas City. First of all, I did a whole segment on the mint regarding the Chiefs' inability to cover the spread. So obviously, I got to go with the Chargers. LA is bad as a favorite. But they do pretty well in the underdog role.

The Chargers just turn the ball over way too much and had quite a few penalties last week. But let's not forget that last season in week 16. This team won straight up against the Chiefs. And Justin Herbert was phenomenal throwing for three touchdowns and no hicks.

All the turnovers that the Chargers had in week two can be cleaned up, especially against this KC defense. Now, this defense allowed-- what-- 7.5 yards per carry against the Ravens. And there's a lot they can improve on. Their offense tends to play catch up. But that offense is good at making up for areas they lack.

I think LA is underrated with a stud quarterback who really doesn't get enough credit. And this defense is super solid just led by Joey Bosa and Derwin James. So they can put serious pressure on Mahomes. I really like the Chargers, plus-6 and 1/2. Pam, what do you think?

PAM MALDONADO: Minty, I also like the Chargers at plus-6 and 1/2. And you mentioned earlier that KC does not cover spreads. Since last season, the Chiefs are 1 and 11 against the spread. And part of the reason is because of that defense. Kansas City is just not a good defense. They've been dwindling each and every season.

So far through two games, the Chiefs are allowing a league high 47 yards per possession while the Chargers are averaging a league high 48 yards per possession. The problem is they haven't been able to convert those possessions into touchdowns.

The Chargers in the last couple of games-- they have had a few red zone trips resulting in five field goals, one missed field goal, two interceptions and a fumble. Turnovers and then not scoring touchdowns instead of field goals has been the problem.

The key in this match-up for me is going to be the Chargers. They have just one rushing score. But KC has allowed a league high seven rushing touchdowns. I think we need to see a little bit of running back usage in the red zone. We need to see Justin Herbert not throw it. You kind of hold off on some of those turnovers.

And the defense-- they held the Dak Prescott to 237 passing yards and 0 passing touchdowns. The defense is going to keep them alive in this game. But hopefully, better play calling in the red zone is going to help them win.

MINTY BETS: Pam with the stats. I want to know also that the Chiefs are 0 and 2 against the spread when facing Justin Herbert. Both times, the Chargers were 6 and 1/2 point underdogs or more. This LA team tends to play tough games against the Chiefs. So I like this one to be close.

Also, if you want more numbers, the Chargers are 8 and 3 against the spread when dogs of 6 and 1/2 or more. And the Chiefs are 0 and 5 against the spread. Their last five games as 6 and 1/2 point favorites or more.

Now, let's get to the last NFL pick. It's going to be the Dolphins taking on the Raiders in Las Vegas. So the Raiders look awesome, right? They won two straight-up games against two good teams as underdogs to start off the season, somewhat finally of a defense. And it's hard not to ride with Vegas at home. They look awesome as some really good competition in the AFC.

So it seems like things are heading in the wrong direction for Miami. Unfortunately, Tua is out for the Dolphins. And I'm not really going to overreact to this when I analyze this game, because his absence is already factored into this line. And Jacoby Brissett is an experienced quarterback having played previously for the Patriots and Colt.

Miami is actually great against the spread coming off a loss going 6 and 0 ATS. And they're 6 and 1 ATS of their last seven as underdogs. Public is all over the Raiders. The line apparently opened at Raiders minus-1 and 1/2 and then quickly move to minus-4.

I don't blame how fast that line got bet up and adjusted after how good the Raiders looked in the last two weeks and how Miami got shut out by the Bills most recently. But this is a classic game of fade the public to me. I think the smart bet would be to take Miami plus the points as I think they can keep the game close.

And I hate to use the do for reasoning. But I sense the Raiders are due for some regression. Miami will be prepared to take on this team. So Dolphins plus-4 is my bet for this game.

- Hut hut.

MINTY BETS: Now, tonight, we've got some college football action as Liberty takes on Syracuse. Liberty getting 70% of the bets. Now, weird stat of the day. Syracuse is fourth in the country in total defense. Pam, what do you like in this game? What do you see happening here?

PAM MALDONADO: Syracuse has played Ohio and Rutgers. That is false, false, false. That is part of the reason why you have to dig deeper into some of these stats, because you can see these stats and say, Oh, they have a great defense. Then you have to actually look at the opposition. And OK, it's starting to make a little bit of sense.

Liberty minus-6 is the play for me. The orange-- their offensive line is just gosh darn awful. They've allowed 7, 6-- allowed through two games. They have two quarterbacks right now. And they have just two combined touchdowns and three interceptions. Now, you're going up against this fourth best defense in Syracuse. But now you have to face quarterback Malik Willis for Liberty who is an absolute stud.

He has seven touchdowns, zero interceptions, plus he leads this team in rushing yards and has on this offense two additional running backs of 100-plus rushing yards. I know this defense is going to excel against the Syracuse supposed defense who hasn't faced anybody. Liberty minus-6. They win by double digits.

MINTY BETS: Love it. Love it. Guys, just to recap, we have Jets plus-10 and 1/2. Chargers plus-6 and 1/2. Dolphins plus-4. Lots of underdogs here in the NFL. And Liberty minus-6 in college football tonight. You guys can follow me on Twitter @MintyBets and Pam over @pamelam35. And make sure to follow all of our content over at Yahoo Sportsbook.

Frank Schwab will be back on Monday to host "Yahoo Sportsbook Daily." Until then, goodbye and good luck.
