NH trooper rescues wayward dog found clinging to ledge of bridge that runs over icy river

A New Hampshire State Police Trooper rescued a wayward dog found clinging to ledge of bridge that runs over an icy river.

On January 1, 2023, at approximately 3:30 p.m., state police were called about a stray brindle colored hound dog located precariously near the edge of a bridge on North Road in the town of Shelburne.

Trooper Neil Chapdelaine and a local dog trainer were able to carefully and safely get the dog of of the bridge.

The dog did not have a dog tag or identification chip.

It transported to the Woodlands Veterinary Clinic in Lancaster.

If no owner comes forward, the dog will be transferred to the care of the Riverside Animal Rescue in Lunenburg, Vermont.
