NHC says 70% chance of cyclone over south-western Gulf of Mexico
(Reuters) - There is a 70% chance that a low pressure system located over the south-western Gulf of Mexico will become a cyclone in the next 48 hours, the U.S National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Thursday.
"Upper-level winds are expected to gradually become more conducive for development, and a tropical depression is likely to form during the next day or so," the NHC added.
