NHL icon Chris Chelios lists seaside estate for $75M in California. ‘No better place’

An astonishing piece of real estate just landed on the housing market overlooking the Pacific blue in California. And if you’re a hockey lover, the listing is extra special.

But it will cost you.

Former hockey legend Chris Chelios — a three-time Stanley Cup winner — has put his Malibu beach compound up for sale for $75 million.

And it’s a doozy.

The beautiful four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom estate sits in Paradise Cove, a place known as “billionaire’s beach,” according to Compass listing agent Chris Cortazzo.

“It’s where the who’s who live,” Cortazzo said in a news release.

Features in and around the 3,795-square-foot beauty include:

  • Views galore

  • Skylights

  • “Wraparound windows”

  • “Vanishing wall of glass”

  • Decks

  • Chef’s kitchen

  • Detached guest house

The estate also comes with 90 feet of beach frontage, the listing says.

“I was looking for a place to get away with the family. No question, Paradise Cove is the best stretch of beach in all of Malibu,” Chelios said in a news release. “For me and my family, there was no better place we could have chosen to spend our time. The privacy is second to none.”

Chelios was a defenseman and considered one of the greatest American players in the National Hockey League. He was drafted in 1981 by the Montreal Canadiens. He was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in 1990, where he spent nine seasons.

He retired from the game in 2010.
