NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE's player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Monday has eight games on the schedule, including five in the afternoon.

Gabriel Landeskog (Colorado) - W - $9,600 (FanDuel), $7,100 (DraftKings), $31 (Yahoo)

Landeskog has registered at least one point in each of his past 15 appearances. He has eight goals and 14 assists during that span. Landeskog has five goals (three on the power play), four assists and 19 shots in five contests this month. The Avalanche captain will be looking for another big performance against Minnesota after he had four points (two goals, two assists) and four shots in 4-1 win back on Oct. 30.

Jordan Kyrou (St. Louis) - W - $7,400 (FanDuel), $6,400 (DraftKings), $22 (Yahoo)

Kyrou will go into Monday night’s match against Nashville with a seven-game point spree. He has five goals and nine assists during that stretch, including four points (one goal, three assists) on the man advantage. Kyrou has also added 23 shots on goal. Additionally, he is expected to get linemate Vladimir Tarasenko back on Monday.

Tyler Bertuzzi (Detroit) - W - $6,800 (FanDuel), $22 (Yahoo)

Bertuzzi had one goal, two assists and six shots in Saturday’s 4-0 win over Buffalo. He has racked up three goals and four helpers in three matches versus the Sabres this season to go along with 17 shots on target. You can also roster Bertuzzi on DraftKings, but it would have to be in a “showdown” format. In that scenario, he is a good option for captain 1.5x multiplier spot.

Mathew Barzal (NY Islanders) - C - $6,700 (FanDuel), $6,700 (DraftKings), $20 (Yahoo)

Barzal has hit the scoresheet in nine of his past 10 appearances, while supplying three goals and 11 assists during that stretch. He has six helpers on the power play along with 23 shots on goal over that span as well. Barzal’s three-game point streak was halted on Saturday, but he should be able to get back on track against Philadelphia. He has seven goals and 22 points in 19 career games versus the Flyers.

San Jose has gone winless in two games going into Monday’s match, while scoring just one goal. Additionally, Quick has been excellent on the road this season, while going 4-2-2 with a 1.97 goals-against average and .937 save percentage.
