NHL’s revised schedule will make for busy February for Carolina Hurricanes

The Carolina Hurricanes will have a busy February.

The NHL on Wednesday announced the rescheduling of those games postponed for COVID-19 reasons this season. The Canes’ February workload will include their seven previously postponed games, plus a road game against Pittsburgh that was to have ended their regular-season schedule on April 29 and now is set for Feb. 20.

The Canes were to close out the month with home games against Columbus (Feb. 25) and Edmonton (Feb. 27) following the NHL’s planned lengthy break for the NHL All-Star Game and the 2022 Winter Olympics. The league has since ruled out Olympic participation for its players because of the scheduling problems caused by the pandemic.

The Canes will begin the month with back-to-back road games against Toronto and Ottawa.
