Niagara Bottling company partnership brings 50 jobs to Shelby Township

Niagara Bottling will open its first Michigan facility in Shelby Township, offering at least 50 job openings.

The 2023 spring opening will provide more than bottled water. The expansion is expected to accumulate over $100 million in capital investment, according to a news release.

The Business Development Program of Michigan Economic Development Corp. granted $350,000 in support of the project. The city plans to improve the sewer and water infrastructure as well, according to the release.

For a state with around 200,000 unemployed residents, Niagara Bottling will open job training opportunities with career advancement support. Hiring begins in the next few months.

The beverage manufacturer worked closely with the Detroit Regional Partnership to open investment opportunities for the area. The partnership helped select the site location by offering utilities, incentives, and other community partnerships.
