Niagara Falls Lit Up Blue and White to Honor Nova Scotia Shooting Victims

Niagara Falls was illuminated with the blue and white colors of Nova Scotia on April 21 “to honor the victims” of a deadly mass shooting in the Canadian province, according to the Niagara Parks Commission.

This video was uploaded by the Niagara Parks official Facebook profile alongside further posts that said they were illuminating the falls “to stand in solidarity” with the victims’ “family, friends, and fellow Nova Scotians both across Canada and across the world.”

CTNEWS reported that the Nova Scotia Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) raised the shooting’s death toll to 22 victims, in what they described as “one of the deadliest massacres in Canadian history.”

The victims included a pregnant healthcare worker, a 17-year-old, and a RCMP officer, according to multiple reports. Credit: Niagara Parks via Storyful
