We have a new leading passer. And a new leading receiver among area large-school football teams. Both from a school that has only once led the NIC-10 in passing.

Sebastian Bracius, only a sophomore, has 1,069 yards for Jefferson after throwing for 300 in a win over Belvidere. He is trying to join Leslie Robinson, who had 1,007 yards in 2003, as the only J-Hawk to lead the NIC-10 in passing. Jefferson's Tyler Gaines also leads in receiving with 447 yards. He is trying to join Ricky Ellis (845 yards in 2003), Mitch Draeger (534 in 1994), Chad Larson (592 in 1992) and Tony Sanders (261 in 1984) as the fifth J-Hawk to top the conference in receiving.
