Nice weather near-term, heavy rain possible Saturday evening

We saw a nice weather pattern today with blue skies and temperatures reaching the low-mid 70s. A weak front has moved through the area and this will lead to a cool night tonight.

Temperatures will reach the low-mid 40s by morning, rebounding into the upper 60s tomorrow afternoon. Partly sunny skies are expected as clouds will begin to increase overnight tonight and through the day tomorrow.

The great weather continues through Friday with a mix of clouds and sun and warm temperatures with highs reaching the lower 70s once again.

A strong storm system will impact the area on Saturday. A low-pressure area will be maturing right overhead leading to the possibility of heavier rainfall, especially in the second half of the day. With moisture levels high and atmospheric lift projected to be strong, rainfall totals of 1-3 inches could be possible on Saturday as storms will likely have high rainfall rates. This may put any Saturday afternoon/evening parades in jeopardy.

The rain should move out by Sunday, leading to cooler conditions for the beginning of next week.
