Niceville High band student performs at the prominent Musikverein concert hall in Austria
NICEVILLE — Alexandra Nacchia, a senior at Niceville High School, was selected play the euphonium atthe 2022 High School Honors Performance Series at the Musikverein, Vienna, Austria.
Nacchia performed Aug. 1 with the High School Honors Band. The Honors Ensemble is limited to the highest-rated high school performers from across the world.
She auditioned for the Honors Performance Series earlier this year and was recently accepted after a review by the Honors Selection Board. Acceptance to the elite group is a direct result of the talent, dedication, and achievements demonstrated in her application and audition recording.

Nacchia is a member of the Niceville High School Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band Too, Raider Brass, an Eagle Pride Drum Major, a five-time selection to the Okaloosa All County Band and a four-time selection to the Florida All State Band.
She joined 200 performers from the United States, China, Canada and Qatar for a special performance at the world-famous Musikverein, a venue that marks the pinnacle of musical achievement.
The finalists came together in Vienna, Austria, for six days and had the opportunity to learn from world-renowned conductors and work with other finalists.
