Nick Cannon suggests Mariah Carey could have ‘fumbled’ their marriage
Jokester Nick Cannon doesn’t play when it comes to people joking about his failed marriage to Mariah Carey. The “Wild ‘N Out” star clapped back at a claim that the end of their six-year union was his fault.
“Explain to me how I fumbled Mariah,” he challenged his “Daily Cannon” co host, Courtney Bee Bledsoe, when she said that he screwed up his marriage to the music superstar.
On the Wednesday episode of the radio show, Bledsoe clarified that she was just making light-hearted fun of the situation, adding, “I just know you’re not with her, so that’s a fumble.”
“Maybe she fumbled me,” Cannon hit back, noting he “was there” for Carey throughout their relationship.
The couple began dating in 2008 and were married mere months later.
Carey and Cannon welcomed twins, Moroccan and Monroe, in 2011. They announced their separation in the summer of 2014, and finalized their divorce two years later.
Throughout the years, the 42-year-old funnyman has maintained great ties with the 54-year-old Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee. In fact, just last year, he sampled her 1990 hit “Love Takes Time” on his single “Alone.”
Cannon is far from “alone” though. Aside from the fraternal twins he shares with Carey, he has become a baby-making machine — fathering 10 other children with five different women.
The lupus survivor has gone viral with colorful commentary regarding his expanding family tree, notably revealing that his former girlfriend and co-star Christina Milian is one particular ex he wishes would have been on his growing list of baby mamas.
During a recent appearance on “The Howard Stern Show,” Cannon said he would be open to fathering his 13th child with newly single Taylor Swift.
