Nick Gordon will get another chance to make his major league debut.

Gordon was recalled from Class AAA St. Paul on Tuesday to replace utilityman Luis Arraez.

Arraez will go on the concussion protocol list after being injured in Monday's victory over the Rangers.

The Twins called up Gordon for the first time on April 24, but he didn't appear in a game before being sent down. The 25-year-old infielder has played seven minor league seasons since being a first round pick in 2014.

Gordon was with the Saints, who are opening the Class AAA season tonight in Omaha, and flew back to Minneapolis today. He'll be in uniform tonight.

J.A. Happ will pitch for the Twins tonight (6:40, BSN) against former Twin Kyle Gibson, who is 3-0 with a 2.16 ERA for Texas.

Twins pitching coach Wes Johnson said Lewis Thorpe will pitch Wednesday night's game against the Rangers. Manager Rocco Baldelli thought Michael Pineda, whose regular turn would have been Wednesday, would be OK to start Thursday afternoon; he was struck on his wrist by a batted ball Friday in a victory over the Royals.
