Nick Jonas Reveals His Two Essential Decor Items: Pianos and Typewriters
Did Nick Jonas just give us a peek inside the New York City apartment he shares with wife Priyanka Chopra? The singer posted a photo on Valentine’s Day of the pair on Instagram sitting at a piano with a city skyline in the distance. And over the summer, the newlywed shared that the only real furniture he had in his place was a piano.
“I haven’t done anything,” Jonas told Architectural Digest of decorating his new pad he started renting in December 2017. “But I just moved my piano in, and that was the only addition and a TV. Other than that, it’s been sparse.”
While it seems the pair were together in London on Valentine’s Day—both were photographed there on February 15—it’s unclear whether the photo was from their hotel in the English capital or previously in another city. Regardless, they looked completely smitten and to be clearly enjoying married life.
When not on the road for work, the duo is splitting their time between New York and Los Angeles. It was reported they snagged a new Beverly Hills mansion, and while dating they were spotted at Chopra’s NYC home: the Four Seasons Downtown residences. But Jonas told us that he also has an apartment in SoHo. And as rumors swirl that the two are eager to start a family, Jonas said he is looking forward to quality time at home on either coast.
“I am getting older and spending more time at home,” he told AD. “So creating a really safe haven and comfortable environment has been key for me.”
While a piano is clearly an essential for the 26-year-old crooner, so too is something a little more unique: typewriters. “When I was in Cuba, I decided to start collecting old typewriters,” he told us. “So I found this old orange typewriter. It was sort of all busted up but really cool, and I am going to do little placards that say where I get my typewriters from and display them.”
Well, now we know a good housewarming gift!
