Nickelodeon Is Opening The Indoor Theme Park Of Your Dreams This Week And It Includes A SpongeBob Ride
When winter hits, it can be a struggle to keep your kids—and, let's be honest, yourself—entertained. When it’s warmer out, you might hit up a theme park but, you know, it’s kinda chilly out for that after the early fall.
Luckily, Nickelodeon is here with an indoor theme park to help get you and your family through those looong winter days. It’s called Nickelodeon Universe theme park and, on October 25, it’s opening at the American Dream Meadowlands retail and entertainment complex in East Rutherford, NJ.
This isn’t the first time Nickelodeon has unleashed a Nickelodeon Universe—there’s also one at the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. Still, this new one is going to be bigger and maybe even better. The new theme park is a whopping eight acres and, once it opens, it’ll be the biggest indoor theme park in North America, according to POPSUGAR.
Among other things, you can expect a Blue’s Clues carousel, a SpongeBob SquarePants ride, and the Nickelodeon Skyline Scream, which will be the tallest indoor spinning drop tower in the world. The theme park will also have live entertainment, food, and shops.

That’s not all that’s happening at the American Dream: The place will also boast a DreamWorks water park.
Want to visit on opening weekend? Yeah, sorry. You can’t. Tickets are already sold out for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, according to the official website. After that, though, you can expect to pay $40 for general access and $50 for access to all rides.
