Nicki Minaj’s husband, ex-convict Kenneth Petty, has been under house arrest after violating his probation by threatening Cardi B’s husband, Offset, in New York City.

Petty, 45, could be restricted to his residence for as many as 120 days after he was “recorded on video making threatening remarks to a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record,” according to court documents obtained by E! News.

It has not yet been determined whether Petty will be forced to wear a GPS ankle bracelet as part of the home confinement, according to the outlet.

The video in question was posted by Petty to Instagram last week. It shows him and two friends making the remarks while standing near a hotel where Migos rapper Offset was believed to be staying, per TMZ.

Offset appeared to respond to the clip with his own Instagram video of himself exiting a private plane and laughing on the tarmac, indicating he may not have been at the hotel at all.

Petty previously served time after he was convicted in 1995 for first-degree attempted rape. He was indicted in early 2020 for failing to register as a sex offender upon his move from New York to Los Angeles. He also served nearly seven years in prison following a conviction for first-degree manslaughter, and was released in 2013.

News of Petty’s latest legal battle comes amid a years-long feud between Nicki and Cardi, which famously turned physical during a confrontation at a New York Fashion Week event in 2018.
