Nicola Peltz Addresses Rumors of a Feud With Mother-in-Law Victoria Beckham

Actress Nicola Peltz Beckham is basking in the joy of being a newlywed with her husband, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, but rumors still swirl about her relationship with her new mother-in-law.
Nicola finally got the chance to address the rumors of a feud between herself and Victoria Beckham, speaking to Variety for a new feature on Brooklyn as part of the 2022 Power of Young Hollywood issue.
The 27-year-old new bride stated that she believes the rumors—which she says are false—started as a result of her not wearing a wedding dress designed by Victoria.
Instead, Nicola wore Valentino couture for her nuptials.
Explaining, Nicola said, "I was going to [wear one of Victoria's dresses] and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress."
The actress continued, "She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that."
Brooklyn commented on the rumors and critics, stating, "I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down."
He also took the time to directly clear the air regarding possible animosity between his wife and mother, saying, "But everyone gets along, which is good."
When Nicola and Brooklyn tied the knot on April 9, Victoria posted on social media congratulating them.
The couple is still very in love and stable, with Nicola saying, "The thing that's great about [Brooklyn and me], is that we don't need anything from each other."
Even though they just got married, they revealed that they are already talking about kids, with Brooklyn revealing that Nicola thinks they'll have a boy first.
The actress explained, "We don’t plan on having kids anytime in the next year. But we would love to have a big family one day — we would love to have some of our own, and we would love to adopt.”
