Niecy Nash is opening about falling in love with the woman she calls her “hersband.”

On Wednesday’s episode of Jada Pinkett Smith’s popular Facebook Watch series, “Red Table Talk,” the Emmy-winning actress and musician Jessica Betts did their first interview since their secret marriage last August.

“I met the most beautiful soul that I had ever met in my entire life,” Nash said about Betts, whom she lovingly referred to as her “hersband.”

“It was something that said, ‘I don’t want to be away from this energy.’”

“The Masked Singer” hostess admitted she “never dated a woman” prior to Betts, whom she met through social media in 2015.

“I’ve dated men all my life too, married a couple of them. But it was the first time in my life I felt fully seen,” the twice-divorced, mother of three shared. “And it changed me.”

She said understands why people have opposing views about her past marriages to men and her present marriage with a woman.

“And what I say to that is I am everything you thought I was I just lay my head somewhere else. I can still act. I can host. I can do the things, you know what I mean?,” the “Reno 911” alum continued.

Nash also shared that her three adult children met Betts prior to them dating, though her mom, is still trying to be “understanding” of her new relationship.

“My daughters were like, ‘Wait, what?’” Nash recalled. “My youngest daughter, she reminded me. She was like, ‘Wait a minute, Mom, are you the same mom who was like, ‘Girl, I’m strictly d—kly?’ And I was like, wah wah. I was like, ‘Yeah, no, yeah. Yeah, but no.’”

“A lot of people have said at the beginning Niecy Nash has finally come out and I said, ‘Well come out of where?’ Because I wasn’t in anywhere,” she clarified. “I wasn’t living a sexually repressed life. I loved the boys that I was with when I was with them and now this is who I love.”

Betts previously had a close association with Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott when she won the short-lived UPN talent competition “Road to Stardom” in 2005.

The 41-year-old Chicago native is the third spouse of Nash’s, who was married to engineer Jay Tucker from 2011 to 2019 and Pastor Don Nash from 1994 to 2007.
