Nike sues company that made 'Satan Shoes' with Lil Nas X

Nike sued a New York-based company on Monday over their "Satan Shoes," a pair of Nike Air Max 97 sneakers that contain a drop of human blood made in collaboration with American singer and rapper Lil Nas X.

The company MSCHF Product Studio started selling the black-and-red, devil-themed shoes online this week.

Nike said in its filing to a New York federal court that they were produced "without Nike's approval and authorization."

The company added they were in "no way connected with this project."

Lil Nas X is not named as a defendant in the suit.

Several media outlets reported that the shoes sold out in less than a minute, each pair costing around $1,000.

Nike asked the court to immediately stop MSCHF from fulfilling orders and requested a jury trial to seek damages.
