MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Former South Carolina Governor and U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley campaigned in Myrtle Beach Thursday ahead of the Republican primaries that is just two days away.

Haley has spent the past few days traveling across the state for her “Beast of the Southeast” campaign bus tour.

“I’ve always known that South Carolina truly is the best state in the country,” Haley said.

Outside Myrtle Beach restaurant 44 and King, Haley spoke about her goals if she becomes president.

She brought up issues like national debt, term limits, and immigration. She told supporters America cannot wait one more day to secure the border.

Haley also talked about cutting taxes for the middle class and permanently for small businesses.

She said Americans needs to decide what kind of leader they want moving forward.

“More of the same isn’t just Joe Biden,” Haley said. “More of the same is Donald Trump and we need to listen to what Americans are also saying.”

Half-way through her speech, one man disrupted her as she spoke about caring for military members when they come home.

While talking about national security, Haley said America needs someone with “moral clarity” who knows the difference between good and bad.

She asked supporters if America could do better than two “80-year-old candidates.”

“We need someone who can put in eight years of hard work, day and night, do whatever it takes to get the job done, no drama, no vendettas, but real results for the American people,” Haley said.

Haley also said this is about creating a future for the younger generations.

Supporters were shoulder-to-shoulder waving signs for Haley.

News13 spoke to event attendees Mike and Gaby Gerhart who said they came out to help them decide who they’re going to vote for on primary day.

“We’re on the fence you know we don’t know who we’re going to vote for, so we want to hear more from Nikki Haley,” Mike Gerhart said. “Donald Trump is out of the question with us so it’s between Joe Biden and Nikki Haley.”

Former President Trump plans to attend an election night watch party in Columbia on Saturday.
