Georgia set a school record in the 2021 NFL draft when it had nine players selected.

This year, Georgia is looking to shatter that number with potentially as many as 15 players selected.

USA TODAY’s Draft Wire expects Georgia to actually hit last year’s mark by the end of the third round of the 2022 NFL draft.

Well, actually Johnson finished the season with 11.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, 70 total tackles and two pass deflections. The former Georgia linebacker wanted to (and did) strengthen his NFL draft stock at FSU. Johnson saw much more playing time for the Seminoles and proved to be an every down player.the site expected Georgia to have 10 players drafted when it projected outside linebacker Nolan Smith to go No. 91 to the Rams. But Smith has since announced his plans to forgo the 2022 draft and play one more year at UGA.

Here’s Draft Wire’s 2022 three-round NFL mock draft, which includes nine Bulldogs and one former Bulldog.

This defense has one of the league’s better fronts, but they need a three-down playmaker at the next level who can bring that same combination of physicality and athleticism they have in the trenches. Dean was the best player on the nation’s most dominant defense, helping lead the Bulldogs to their first national title since 1980.

Quarterback and offensive tackle are huge needs, but the value just isn’t there in this scenario at either of those spots. Instead, the Steelers opt for a massive mauler for the defensive trenches, adding a dominant nose tackle in Davis, who would help return this unit to their former glory.

32. Green Bay Packers | Georgia EDGE Travon Walker

The offense needs help up front, and possibly at receiver, but the Packers might have a bigger need lurking at the edges of their defensive front, depending on potential salary cap moves. Walker was a key performer for the Bulldogs’ title-winning defense, and his skill set would fit well in this defense.

41. Seattle Seahawks | Georgia CB Derion Kendrick

Kendrick’s transfer to Georgia helped the Bulldogs have one of the best pass defenses in the country. The senior from Rock Hill, South Carolina, had 41 tackles, four interceptions and seven pass deflections in 15 games for the Bulldogs this season.

55. New England Patriots | Georgia WR George Pickens

Pickens finished his Georgia career with 90 receptions for 1,347 yards and 14 touchdowns. Pickens played in only four games this season. The former five-star recruit out of Hoover High School in Alabama had a career-long 52-yard catch in the national championship.

Salyer ranks as the No. 4 offensive guard on Mel Kiper’s NFL draft big board. Salyer was a five-star signee in Georgia’s 2018 recruiting class out of Pace Academy in Atlanta.

Johnson finished the season with 11.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, 70 total tackles and two pass deflections. The former Georgia linebacker wanted to (and did) strengthen his NFL draft stock at FSU. Johnson saw much more playing time for the Seminoles and proved to be an every-down player.
