Nine Georgia Bulldogs go in first three rounds of 2022 NFL mock draft

Georgia set a school record in the 2021 NFL draft when it had nine players selected.

This year, Georgia is looking to shatter that number with potentially as many as 15 players selected.

USA TODAY’s Draft Wire expects Georgia to actually hit last year’s mark by the end of the third round of the 2022 NFL draft.

Well, actually Johnson finished the season with 11.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, 70 total tackles and two pass deflections. The former Georgia linebacker wanted to (and did) strengthen his NFL draft stock at FSU. Johnson saw much more playing time for the Seminoles and proved to be an every down player.the site expected Georgia to have 10 players drafted when it projected outside linebacker Nolan Smith to go No. 91 to the Rams. But Smith has since announced his plans to forgo the 2022 draft and play one more year at UGA.

Kendrick’s transfer to Georgia helped the Bulldogs have one of the best pass defenses in the country. The senior from Rock Hill, South Carolina, had 41 tackles, four interceptions and seven pass deflections in 15 games for the Bulldogs this season.

Pickens finished his Georgia career with 90 receptions for 1,347 yards and 14 touchdowns. Pickens played in only four games this season. The former five-star recruit out of Hoover High School in Alabama had a career-long 52-yard catch in the national championship.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound junior out of Cedar Hill, Texas, finishes his Georgia career with 145 total tackles, two interceptions, and 16 pass deflections. Cine has started at safety for Georgia since 2020.

Salyer ranks as the No. 4 offensive guard on Mel Kiper’s NFL draft big board. Salyer was a five-star signee in Georgia’s 2018 recruiting class out of Pace Academy in Atlanta.

Wyatt could have entered into the 2021 NFL Draft, along with fellow d-lineman Jordan Davis. But the Decatur, Georgia native opted to put his dreams on hold for another year, in order to first attempt to accomplish a different dream — bringing a national title to his home state of Georgia.

Shaffer was named AP & Coaches’ All-SEC 2nd Team and started at left guard in all 15 of Georgia’s games.

Florida State Seminoles defensive end Jermaine Johnson has been named the ACC’s Defensive Player of the Year. Johnson, a senior transfer from Georgia, was Florida State’s best player in 2021.

Johnson finished the season with 11.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, 70 total tackles and two pass deflections. The former Georgia linebacker wanted to (and did) strengthen his NFL draft stock at FSU. Johnson saw much more playing time for the Seminoles and proved to be an every-down player.
